Customs and Border Protection holding hundreds of migrants unsheltered near Jacumba Hot Springs

Last week KPBS reported on hundreds of migrants being held in between the primary and secondary border walls in San Ysidro. Now, many are waiting for their chance to request asylum 70 miles east of San Diego in 90-degree heat in the desert. KPBS video journalist Matt Bowler took the long drive out to bring us this report.

Jews escaping Germany during WWII were also breaking the law. Sitting at a "white" lunch counter while black was also breaking the law. There are a lot of things that are breaking the law on the books but are not immoral. *And maybe if the US didn't have a huge blockade on Cuba, they'd not want to come here, Castro would be long gone, and people would want to go to Cuba instead*

Yes they have but border patrol picks them up, gives them a ride to port of entry, gives them a card with $900 preloaded on it, cell phone, and a bus ticket to their choice of destination. NY, Chicago, California, are just the top 3 but they're being flown all over our country.

Most migrants are used to paying less than $100 for house rent, $10 for electric and water is usually free in rural Mexico.
