I've had countless rides, most of which I've dropped. Springs. Coilovers. Camber kits. Control arms. C-sections. But we seldom talk about cut coils or removing leafs.
Cutting springs creates a lot of the same issues that happen when you lower any vehicle with alignment and wear and tear from non stock geometry, but realistically its not as bad as people think.
Idk if ur still in touch with the owner of this wagon but it seems like u know him on a personal level. Any way you could ask him how he went about cutting his springs I have the exact same wagon mine is a 2005 w203 base model.
This wagon is spot on! Love your style and delivery - fun to watch and listen to. So, I'm 60yrs old (!) and I've got a 2001 e320 wagon, black, really straight. I wanna put my stamp on it. Blacking out the 18 inch Mercedes wheels, have a brushed stainless steel look wrap for the roof. Blacked out windows. BUT the rear end sits lower than the front and I want to lower the front end about 2 inches. Is cutting the springs the best and most affordable way to lower the front? Thanks!
