Like the channel. Good tests. In my experience it can take a couple sharpenings after the initial sharpening on factory grinds to see the true edge retention. Wondering, do you ever look down the edge of your blade? I use a light and am amazed at what I can see in terms of damage. After stropping I can definitely see the difference. I can also see where any remaining snags are. For a fairly damaged edge I’ve found the white compound followed by the green then smooth leather usually gets me another week or two before I have to put steel to stone. I am a fan of Nitro V, and 154cm because it comes back so well on my strop. I find the same of CPM4v and CPM Cru Wear. Not as much on some of the other premium powdered steels. My ZDP is not fun at all. Great channel and I really enjoy your videos
The baby banter is kind of a use the right tool for the job kind of knife but for a general light carry it’s perfect. I did the same scales and red blade combo you have and the scales are just killer I love them! The baby banter is a perfect knife if your wearing shorts and just want to have a knife on you.
Doody and the doods , reporting in on the 3v Kizer towser mini vs. the anti -slip deck coating . The edge lasted over twice as long as the nitro v but the stuff is seriously like 60 grit paper and it’s stupid now to ruin any more edges . The 3v is badass though . I was using it before I trashed the edge and it stayed sharp . I’d like to try some magnacut and 15v to see if they are as good as they say
Nice knife . To bad the trend is great design, great action but low budget steels, 14c28n, nitro v ect ect. S35vn for all knives over 80$ could and should be the norm.
