Cut Test: Kershaw Livewire OTF! 

I am a Microtech guy but this knife is definitely worth buying - would never even give the Benchmade any consideration, Benchmade is the only company that would put a plastic handle on an OTF and charge $300 for $40 worth of raw material.

Awesome torture test. I got the gray one in Magnacut, Kershaw really knocked it out the park with the Livewire.

Very good video. When you consider several things about this knife, I think it is a steal in the OTF world. The steel is premium, the internal design is much simpler and durable than I think anything else in the price range and even more expensive models (it is easy to work on if you have to), the action is buttery smooth, it is light and just feels great in the hand. I'm having a very hard time finding anything I don't like about it right now. Plus, it is USA made.

Magnacut version should be a big improvement at 62-64 HRC

I said it in the unboxing, but laying the edge back from factory made a massive difference in mine. Mines the magnacut version, but I imagine the 20cv is probably like mine was edge wise….

I’m trying to decide between the Benchmade Shootout with a drop point blade or the Kershaw Livewire with the spear point blade. I can find either version for about the same price. I’d like the better slicer, which based on specs would be the Benchmade due to the thinner blade stock. Any thoughts from those that have used both?

it's impressive to me that Kershaw can do autos so well and manuals so not well...(yes there are a few recent ones that people like but overall not good)

I was thinking about getting one, i have 2 ultratechs and really want another otf of a different kind. Great video!

Only have one auto and its not an OTF .. dont plan on adding another auto

My Kershaw livewire makes a squeaky high pitched noise when retracting in. Unlike my other otf's. Anyone know how to fix that?
