@@charlesezrarevmongoosecane5097 seems like a rather poor (and maybe even uneducated) region of China. I can only imagine that better tools either just don’t exist on the market, or are just far too expensive to afford. I wouldn’t be surprised if Master Du is also one of the few people who can even do what he does in the area. It’s unlikely he had any formal “training” or “schooling.” Just a skill he learned over the years and filled in a niche no one else did Edit: keep in mind, not even the Hoof GP is an actual vet. There are certain things he may be able to treat, but there have been plenty of times where he’s had to defer to an actual vet. It’s been mentioned in a few of these donkey hoof rescue videos that there do seem to be vets that exist to take proper medical care of these donkeys, so the responsibility shouldn’t solely lie on Master Du. Unfortunately, there’s no telling how expensive vet visits are and how credible the vets may be
@@siennadae-knight5598 Absolutely. The hoof trimmer here is doing the best he can with what he has to work with. The farmers Hoof GP works for go to great lengths to make certain their animals are well taken care of. The people here barely take care of their animals at all. Anything that can be done for them is an improvement. So, not only is Hoof GP better trained and equipped, but he has the farmers and their vets supporting his efforts. Completely different situation.
It is sad that there is people that neglect or harm animals just to make it look good that they are taking care of the animal in the end just for ratings.🤬🤬🤬🤬
I don’t know whether to feel grateful that you are finally helping these poor innocent souls or to feel anger that their savage owners allowed their hooves to get so bad.
I know this is gonna sound kinda callous. But these animals were bred for working. They are essentially equipment. And equipment this poorly maintained cannot work.
The Master mentioned in one of his videos that he charged $2.82 to trim a donkey. Maybe that's a lot of money in China and why they don't get better care?
These poor babies should never even have gotten to this point to begin with I feel so sorry for them they're so sweet and he's still punking with a stick and pulling them by their head It's bullshit.. I just want to show them love ☹️🥺
@@cassidy993 he wants him to go where he needs to go to get his heels trimmed, otherwise the donkey will not walk on its own. They are bred for meat, they don't walk around. They stay in one pen and get fat.
It's a donkey, the animal who is known as an "ASS" they're very stubborn sometimes, and yes, in order to get it to medical treatment, they pushed him a little bit. Not cruel at all. Be more cruel to do absolutely nothing.
The switch and slapping with his hands doesn't hurt the donkey. They've got thick skin and fur, so it feels like a light pinch or tap. They do that to let the donkey know when to move and which direction, same principle as a rider using their heels to guide a horse.
@@commanderfootball I watch tons of hoof trimming videos.. Its mainly these types of hoof cutting videos. Were you see a so called master hitting a donkey with a stick for not walking fast enough on hurt feet.
I want to say these farmers, please treat these innocent donkeys well, take care of them well. They are not just farm animals. They are a part of family.
Insensibles y maltratadores!!!
I just don't understand why they neglect and abuse these highly intelligent, hard working, under appreciated, animals! It seems something you depend on so much to keep your family going, you would take care of it, so it can take care of you, right?!?
If these farms had Master Du round to cut the donkeys hooves more frequently, they'd get used to it and be a lot more obedient. You can see by the state of their poor hooves they're not being cut as often as they should be..
if they know that it is forbidden to mistreat an animal? ahg super horrible I'm not interested in seeing something where they mistreat animals because it looks like it's a farm or something like that I hate that they beat them
Glad there is someone who can help these creatures. I have seen lots of bad hooves. This man is awesome, he's quick and uses huge knives to trim the hooves as fast and careful. Why does this happen? A trim doesn't cost a lot, but can keep your animals pain free. Then they will work better.
Master and The Hoof GP should get together and watch each other's style. I love watching both shows. Go figure. You both do amazing work with the cows and donkeys .
So glad you have a master to trim the hoofs of your donkeys. But please remember that they were given to you by God, to help you. Be kind to them, and treat them with dignity. They are gentle animals by nature. They feel pain, just like you do. They also feel love, just like you do. Show them your appreciation for all their service to you.
Because he's a quack who is using tools and methods that can cause just as many problems as he's trying to address. This is like taking a cancer patient to the ER and then sending them home.
I know the Chinese have been taking care of hooved animals for thousands of years, and that really this is just a cultural difference, but seeing this guy work makes western farriers look like surgeons lol
To make it easier holding donkeys still maybe trying to make to stalls close together. Not very long but long enough to hold them in. Or try what the farriers use on cows
When the donkeys go to kick a little, is it not because it's an uncomfortable angle? I genuinely don't know - I'm just imagining my own knee pulled to an odd angle..
@@blackcotton2288 Why do you think I asked? But just because it's been done that way for a thousand years doesn't mean it's a good way or that there's a better way. Posted so I could learn and instead got effectively griped at, jeez.
Something that might be helpful would be to have another man hold the opposite foot on the other side, it provides a distraction while making it harder to jump or pull away. Just a thought.
