Retain information longer and do better on your tests. In this video, we're discussing a simple technique that can cut your study time in half. Researchers have found that retrieval practice, or testing yourself, is the best way to retain information and perform better on exams, but with this technique you can toss the boring flashcards and quizlets. This technique is easy to implement and adds an extra dimension to your memory, helping you retain information for the long term.

That's great to know! I used Notability in school. Looks like they just added that feature a few months ago, which would have been nice to have! Thanks for letting us know.

Okay, so I'm 60 and decided to change careers and am really struggling. I can't wait to give this technique a try! I can see that this may come in handy. @MemorizeMedical do you have a similar technique that's best for memorizing the origins, insertions, and innervations of muscles? or even something that may work for how a specific damaged nerve or injury might impact specific muscles and their movements? Thanks in advance!

Congrats on making a change! Very exciting! Most of my channel is dedicated to muscles, origin, insertions, etc. So you may get some help from my other vids. Besides that, you can use this technique with muscles. Just write down a muscle and then test yourself on the origin, insertion, innvervation. Over and over again. Preferably while looking at a model to visualize where the muscle is. I had a skeleton model in school and would use a marker to draw all the origin and insertions. The app human anatomy atlas is a good source to look up where everything attaches on each bone. It is quite an undertaking but valuable and a worthy endeavor. Best of luck!
