Is it safe to heat mylar as it is really just a plastic material, so I'm sure would release bad vapours. I'm looking to find a suitable safe way to cut thick mylar that is 350 micron.

Our cutters have heat control so you can cut at low temperatures. That means no fumes as the plastic is not burning just melting. Though 350 microns is a bit too thick to cut, it will be a slow cut. Our cutter can cut upto 300 microns.
