Thanks! Biggest element of that decision was I knew I wasn’t making it home. I was had a campground with a nicely mowed field as my preferred location but the exact conditions at the moment where unknown and landing on rears not the best idea when the field couldn’t be filled with kids. Made the decision with others safety in mind as well as my own.
@@isk8nyc even landing back at home I'd have probably chopped that. You had already broke 2 brake lines so who knows how close more lines were to possibly snapping. Rear riser might have been enough stress to snap another line or 2 right on landing possibly breaking a leg or something. That opening with both lines broke...I think it is a chop. Blue Skies brother and here's to many more jumps!
That's man I was weighing landing out, on risers, as well as the possibility there was more damage to the canopy that I couldn't see (like a tear on the top skin), the old girl is getting a bit long in the teeth. I'll be happy to have both break lines snapping at one as my skydying one-off, and be happy to have it behind me. Blue Skies.
@@isk8nyc Reserve deployed pretty quickly for no RSL imo! I had a very unpleasant hard opening a couple yrs ago, that was still the last day I jumped.. Part of me still itchin to get back up there tho. Glad u made it out ok
