In this video, I share my recent excellent experience at the Funky Chicken Farm located in Palm Bay, Florida. This is a small local farm that sells chickens, rabbits, composting worms, plants, and more. They even have Tie Die Tee Shirts! This was a great day that transformed my backyard in a really great way.

I stopped by this farm about a month ago when I grabbed 4 pounds of worms from her. She was so sweet! We talked about poop and worms and AG zoning laws... It was a great trip and I left very inspired to buy land to start my own food forest. I'll definitely be back once I'm ready for rabbits and chicks!

That is awesome, sounds similar to my experience. I learned SO MUCH, and now have worms, bunnies, compost bin and a rain barrel in the future, hehe. I will be back to make some more vids. Thinking of getting 1 more bunny, a chinchilla meat rabbit (for Manure and Pet use). BTW, Thumper and Penelope are Cranking out the bunny beans and my garden and worms love it. I recommend everyone check out the FCF.

Great video, and the farm is only 40 miles away. I grew the Everglades tomatoes last year, and found them to be very small. Trying Heatwave, and about ten other varieties this year.

I now have a worm farm in my yard! Bought them from Funky Chickens and they are thriving on rabbit manure and rotten papayas! That day changed my yard forever for the good. I also now have 2 bunnies, Lion Heads!~ Hope you sub!

I bought 2! 2 Lion Head bunnies, that are something like having pet unicorns, so sweet and fun, and such amazing manure. BTW, this trip also inspired me to start a worm farm, doing great. Now I am integrating the vertical growing, just arrived from amazon. Lots of vids on all that coming.

Interesting. Rabbits are wild in much colder climates like the mid Atlantic. I wonder if they are all hardy? Also, nice palmetto and camelia she has. Great video.

Yes, thanks, we have lots of wild rabbits in FL also, these bred varieties do surprisingly well in the hot temps of FL (In shade). I LOVE the 2 bunnies I bought from Suzanne (Thumper and Penelope), they produce a good level of manure production I want, however I am planning on getting one more to complete the collection and get the manure production up a notch.

how do you keep the local wildlife out of your garden? The deer and raccoons eat everything good from my garden.

I am in a barrier island neighborhood, but still get racoons. I am just lucky they go easy. I have so much fruit, that no matter how much they eat, still lots left for me. The partially eaten stuff goes in the compost bin. Only other alternative is to cage everything in or trap the critters.

Awesome! Mine were all the same price and super sweet creatures. My white bunny, Penelope, has blue eyes with red around the outside, pretty cool.
