It's sweet how much Moa and Su really looked out for each other during this time! I love seeing the girls look after and interacting with Saya/Kano/Riho and Momoko!!
When they are in the 3 original girls formation with Yuimetal they always used that to have looks at each other to see if they were doing OK, because being in Babymetal is hard work and sometimes bad things can happen, etc. The looks helps as encouragement as well. That was actually one of the problems with the first formation in 2018, Su-metal and Moametal were standing in front of each other thus couldn't easily encourage each other while they maybe needed it more than ever.
I believe, to me, after Yui Mizuno left, Su-metal and Moametal had to go through a phase where they needed to regroup on the go. In my opinion, they found out through all of this that they really can get through this and move forward. But I will have to say, these clips are amazing. We get to see Babymetal and the Kami Band have fun, every time I've seen videos of their performances, unless something serious happens, this group has fun, plain and simple. Thank you for posting this video, you done an amazing job.🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊
What a tough time. And to go on performing. It's wonderful that it brought Su and Moa closer but at a pretty high cost. I hope their parents and Koba were also there for them. I did not care for the costumes, makeup or hair that marks this sad era. I feel it detracted from their beauty. Long live BabyMetal! May the Momometal era last a long time.
This was absolutely brilliant. I think Moa is the heart that group needs. She's there to not only dance and sing but also to remind Su that they need to have fun while doing all this.
Thank you for this, I don’t think Yui will ever come back which is a shame but I feel that Momoko chan has done more than enough to become the third member miked up and all. I don’t ever want to see Moa cry again and I hope that Yui is well and happy in her new life ❤
That very last sentence Moa said in the interview is so impactful and yet, Kami Band is not shown at all anymore, as if they're not part of Babymetal anymore... 😔
12:17 I don't know if it was this time, but at least one of the times Su-metal stood further to the back close to the stairs on purpose as a prank for Moametal kept poking her.
Thank you so much as always for this awesome and wholesome compilation!! I was smiling and crying so much the entire video!! must have been really difficult compiling everything, and thank you for your hard work in putting all these together!
How not to love BABYMETAL? ❤️❤️❤️ The band's interaction is sensational, I loved seeing the Kami Band's joy, I don't know if with them wearing a mask now they will be able to have the same interaction.
I really miss this era, the hair, the outfits, and the formation. The fans weren't ready for it, and sadly we went back to their usual hairstyles again, but I still love it though. I also miss the non-masked kamis, I really hope they remove them🥲. You can really notice that Su and Moa are both relying on each other when the dark side era happened, and they got closer than ever, even until now. I wonder if Yui didn't leave, what would be black babymetal's song? Because, kagerou, or back then it was called tattoo, was Su's song, but became a Babymetal song after the confirmation of Yui's departure. Was there a song already made for black BM, I wonder. The dark side era videos in yt are gone too, I was too late to download them all🥲. Thanks for this though, I had a lot of laughs🥰. Also, can someone send me a timestamp of Moa crying? I couldn't spot it on the video. Thanks.
Thank you for creating an amazing video. I became a fan of Babymetal in April last year after watching the live video of ‘Distortion’ from their dark side era. However, I couldn’t find much information about their mindset during the dark side era and couldn’t learn more about it. Thanks to your video, I was able to learn not only about their mindset at that time but also about how they enjoy performing live, the support dancers, and the band members. Thank you so much! It would be great if we could enjoy a live concert together in Japan!
Great compilation, thank you. Ah yes, that reminds me. When an audience screams at the top of their lungs, and some (other) artist replies "I can't hear you", I always think to myself "maybe if you try taking out your in-ear monitor..."
Great content! Minus Moa crying though. I just about lost it when that came on. Then you redeemed yourself with the Kami band doing the Gimme Choco choreo. I definitely busted out laughing at that. I have seen Hideki do it many times but never the rest of them. 🤣🤣
@@TheUsedDecoy That was in Kansas City, the very first concert from their 2018 tour. The whole Dark Era was a mess because the management made some very bad decisions. Shit hit the fan in Kansas when it was suddenly revealed that Yui wasn't back and two random backup dancers were her place, and suddenly their kawaii essence was gone. Everyone was too shocked to see such a different BABYMETAL, when the management launched promos with Yui in it and their outfits were the same as they'd always been. The crowd was left speechless and there were expressions of shock, sadness, confusion, disappointment, etc altogether. Moa has always been very sensitive and seeing the fans reactions was painful. They explain it at the beginning of my video.
Oh wow that's heartbreaking, the combo of the fan reactions, Yui leaving, and right on top Mikio's passing must have been just the worst. I hope neither Su or Moa ever feel so awful from fans that they cry like that again. Tyty for the explanation.
I don't know if folks realize it, but SO much of the video was from one show, Atlanta, which in my opinion, was THE special show on that tour. Su on the platform during Tattoo... Atlanta. The Kami's have fun.... Atlanta. The Kami's dancing to Gimme Chocolate.... Atlanta. Leda messing with Boh's pedals...... Atlanta. The "oops" collision.... Atlanta (actually, Moa intentionally ran into Su but you cannot tell that from this angle). And probably more. That's just what I immediately recognized as Atlanta. They did miss some things that occurred in Atlanta. When entering the stage for Megistune, Moa in front of Su, she had her hand stretched out behind her with Su holding her hand, ending with Su shaking it as if to either say "got to let go now" or "you got this girl", possibly both. During Megistune, with Su doing her talk to the crowd thing in the middle of it, Moa noticed a young girl on the barrier stage left and runs over to give her a special singled out wave.
@@omajination Awesome. You did get them walking onto the stage hand in hand. Excellent. Other things I can identify, the "Elevator Girl" moment where Su is about to crack up from Moa's stare was at Houston. At least it started in Houston. It became a regular occurrence on the tour, expanding into them making funny faces at each other, much like they do in the Megitsune interlude. Another moment in Atlanta was Gimme Chocolate. You got the moment the show prior which was the first time (I believe) Moa came down off the upper riser to Su's left to tickle her ear, then moving behind her to the other side, surprising Su because the choreo to that point, Moa had remained on the riser. In Atlanta, Su got even, she backed up to the edge of the platform so when Moa came down to tickle her right ear then tried to go behind her to get to the left, there was not enough room. She ended up doing a tippy toe thing and almost tripping. Moa was laughing as she went back up to the top platform. It's such a shame. There were so many of these moments on that tour and 95% of the fancams from 2018 were wacked in the Great Fancam Holocaust of 2018. I could list a dozen of them we lost off the top of my head.
Thank you very much, Omaji! I like Saya Hirai! You could find a lot of videos with her performance as BM dancer! Thank you! And could find funny moments in not quite funny 2018 tour.
Great video (even though I would prefer to forget that the whole Dark Side period ever happened!) Has anyone noticed how Su pronounces "Yui" as one syllable "Yuy" rather than how most fans pronounce it as two ("Yoo-ee") This is also how Yui pronounced her own name i(one syllable) n the SG videos. Jeffree Star got a lot of criticism when introducing the APMAs/Rob Halford collab by saying "Yee-metal" but he was actually pretty close to being correct.
