I just rescued a raccoon that was attacked by a dog. She is almost 4 months old now and watching videos doesn't do these amazing animals justice. They are the coolest

A little junk food treat occasionally won't hurt them. I put some Hershey's Kisses out once every few weeks for the wild coonies who live in my barn.

I wouldn't recommend a pet raccoon because they're very destructive. In you live in an area where they're wild and rabies isn't a concerned you can become friendly with some wild raccoons pretty easily.
