Kinda like I just adopted the fact that Roman’s insecurity stems from Remus. They are twins and aren’t exactly not alike. They both are reckless with their behaviors and words. Also may have been the reason that Roman so quickly puts his guards up when Virgil shows up. He knows that Virgil is a dark side and is holding him at the standards he holds his brother at. (Virgil seems to feel like he is the weaker of the dark sides, bc around Remus and Deceit, he feels somewhat powerless He pulls that relieved face when Roman stood back up after being knocked unconscious by Remus) *Virgil and Roman really aren’t that different in nature. Both have trust issues and are insecure.

I used to not know how to say Prinxiety until I heard Thomas himself say it

I actually have a theory on this: Anxiety or anxiousness is an emotion, so why wouldn't Patton be in control of that? What happened is that Patton, as we've seen in Moving Forward Part 1 & 2, has a hard time dealing with more negative emotions. And since Thomas has social anxiety, he's anxious more often then the average person. Therefore, Patton couldn't handle the panic and stress of Thomas's anxiety and created Virgil. Now they're two separate sides and Patton has an easier time dealing with negative emotions.
