Man I love being black.. but what amazes me the most is the impeccable timing with their claps and stomps.. there’s never a lingering clamp or a late stop!! We are so amazingggg those are my sistersss💕💕💕
can i please ask you why exactly is the stomp and shake cheer only for black girls? i searched but didnt find anything, but i think its something from african's culture or something?
@@jennag3226 oh ok. it's just that i saw this one video of a white girl doing and everybody was talking about only black girls can do it. i thought that maybe it was some African or African inspired dance
@@miaalmeida4787 Yeah. I just looked up vids and theres tons of them with white girls doing the same thing. Just silly to think only black girls are able to do this. My daughter was a cheerleader and literally stomping and clapping in rhythm is a staple of the sport. Havent seen a single cheerleader that can't do this at all. Its how pretty much every highschool team does sideline cheers lol. Funny to me that black girls think they have a monopoly on this. Even saw a few obviously gay white guys going all out. 😏
I have to admit the deep voices took me by surprise haha, they all look younger than they probably are and I didn't expect it. So smooth, though. Edit: Okay but 0:25 and 1:27 are just amazing and I love the green bows
Its because when cheerleaders are loud which they have to be for everything they use their stomach instead of their throat to yell so it deepens their voice and some of us call it our man voice
I missed out on cheer growing up. You had to be in fifth grade to do it and I switched to a school that didn’t offer it. I’m in my 30s and still salty I never got to do it. Seeing this video doesn’t make it any better. 😭😭😭
i really wish my cheer coach knew how to make cheer fun cause i can tell by these girls and their faces and just everything about them, that they enjoy this but my cheer coach just makes it stressful and honestly i have cried myself to sleep so many times because of her i mean i could go on and on about times she has only targeted me and is mostly rude to me. i just keep telling myself next year will be better cause she won’t be my coach anymore but i just feel so drained and i don’t even know if i wanna do cheer anymore
@Cahlen Kohler honey have you talked to anyone about this? Cheer is not suppose to be stressful to the point that you're crying yourself to sleep! Have you mentioned any of this to your mom or your dad? Or maybe a school counselor? Does the whole team feel the same way?
@@angielambertson6489 i think most of the team does, i have talked to my dad and my step mom and they don’t like her either but there really isn’t anything we can do about it. I don’t know how long my cheer coach will last tho. Some one is bound to speak out eventually and get her fired, this is her first year here and she is already on the verge of losing her job. the season is almost over anyways i think i have like 3 games left
@Cahlen Kohler well I'm glad to hear that you've talked to your parents about it. They should definitely know what's going on. It's a shame you're having a rough time because cheer is not suppose to be a "bad" experience!!! It's suppose to be one of the best times of your life!!!! Since you said that most of your team feels the same way.... I'm hoping the parents will get together and maybe get something done with the coach. Don't quit though!!!! Keep going and maybe next year you'll have a better coach! Never let someone make you quit something that you love to do!! Trust me.... You'll regret it later in life. I really wish you the best of luck. Try to make the most out of the last three games that you have and I pray next year is different for you.
@@angielambertson6489 wow.. I have a lot of respect for you talking to this young lady like this.. More of this needs to happen between humans in general.. Especially for older to younger ones.. You earned my respect
They’re all more in sync than I’ve ever seen from every cheerleading performance at my schools or competitions lol Though both types of cheerleading are great and have their own specialness to it. Cheerleading I’m used to has girls being thrown into the air and being caught, and then there’s this one where everything is SO together, and it really makes you hype. Both have the purpose of cheering on their team and they do a fine job at it.
We had a stomp team BTS (break the silence) at my HS and they'd do performances in the lunch hall once a week. I loved watching them! The regular cheer squad had cool flips and shit but not the spirit our stomp team did by a long mile. Stomp cheer just seems so much more fun and full of feeling PLUS they are making their own music. Props!!
My mom was cheer captain at her school, my sister did cheer and I tried as a young kid, but didn’t do it in high school bc I thought I’d be embarrassed. Graduated 5 years ago and I wish I would have been part of the cheer team, it seems so fun and I loved school spirit 😭 these girls are lit af, I love it!
The one thing I missed out on in hs was being part of a cheerleading squad, the black cheerleading squads do seem really fun and on point. I went to a majority white french high school. We had a cheerleading squad and they did some cool things but I never joined, I was more into singing and I was part of some talent shows which I'd never change but that's one thing I would add to my experience.
I was part of the last generation of black kids who “went outside to play! “. AKA, the Pre-cell phone era. Me and my friends used to teach each other drills for hours…while chewing on a shared bag of Now&Laters!😂
Terrific work, girls....Stomp and Shake....there was an article about it in my local paper this morning (Oregonian) about a local HS doing this. Reminds me of a TV show, "A Different World", set at a black college. They called it stomping, I believe.
Idk why everyone is making a big deal with seeing Black or White cheerleaders I just came here bc they are good cheerleaders…why can’t we all just love everyone no matter what color of the rainbow they are 😭🥰
0:20 (Lets get it, hustle real hard hustle hustle, hustle real hard hustle hustle, go natives go natives, we know we the best go natives.) And repeat. ☺️
Oh my god the first is the best cheer team I’ve seen in a long time. Also, the outfits are adorable. I never see like the split skirts anymore just like really weird and Tacky pencil skirt look at things.
There is such dynamics in the movement here. This is precisely what sports teams need. Not pathetically sexualized movements. There is a place for everything and cheerleaders should not be sexy. They should be packed with energy. It's just a different level of energy. Trying to sexualize a movement shows such a preoccupation with self. "Look at me!" Rather here they are infusing the team, uplifting the team, energizing the team. Here they are part of the team instead of bystanders that look more like decorations than team members. This is true cheering. This - is - it.
