I remember when I was 16 I found a car I wanted so bad. I checked on it everyday while I was saving money from working. I drove by one day and it was gone I was so sad. My dad told me he had a surprise for me out back and there was the car. I about died. This little movie about made me cry. Plus. I love Kristen and Dakota so it that was a big plus to!
This reminds me my dad so much! He just used to tell me "You have to go there and do that" but never told me how to do it, so I would do stupid stuff just like she did. But with mom she would say "Ok, this is what you should say..." and teach me or whatever. This is just a great short movie! I love it...
Not to mention it's directed by Kate Hudson. This had to have been one of the many inspirations to want to direct herself and now she's made her directorial debut for her friend's band Sage and the Saints. Great video by the way and you should check it out if you haven't yet.
I just love this. I keep coming back to it because it captures a period and feeling in time. It also illustrates an experience in the mothers life & a similar experience in the daughters life thirty years later. Beautiful little short film.
My dad tells me the same thing and its funny because he bought me my first guitar at 13 parents are the best thing a kid could have and their unconditional love . Whatever makes you happy makes me happy :) love you dad
This is such a cool short. And for the people who might ask in the future (and probably don't know it), a this is short because is a "short film". They last less than an hour, unlike a feature film, that normally lasts one hour or two.

I subtitled this in Brazilian Portuguese and it took me soooooo long to figure out that Dakota says "Gibson Hummingbird" at the time, I didn't know anything about guitars, I had to Google what I thought I heard to make sure it was right!
