+RRThiel I'm trying to figure out what he means by this. Went through the game 50 times? If that's the case then he would've got to him the first time. Game Overed 50 times? If that's the case, he's terrible at the game. I'm terrible at Megaman and I can get to him in 1 or 2 tries.
As an 80's kid, I can't overstate the excitement and anticipation of learning that there was going to be a Nintendo cartoon. And this is what we got. This. For many of my generation, Captain N was our introduction to the idea of crushing, bitter disappointment.
I didn't feel that way. As a kid, the Super Mario Bros Super Show was true to the character's likenesses, and then there was a Sonic the Hedgehog TV show, and also Mega Man. They did fairly commendable jobs. Captain N I didn't watch a single episode, because King Hippo looked nothing like the video game character.
Maybe its because I didn't grow up in this era so now I dont have to deal with the Idea that this is the only adaptation of media I enjoy but I quite enjoy it.
I need to have a word with whoever thought it was a good idea to have Mother Brain as the main villain, yet not a single appearance from Samus in the entire show. The Zelda episode was pretty good though
It's one of those shows that's so bad, that it's just amazing to see. They have an episode where he teams up with Link (not joking, they really went there). And they made Link sound like a whiny teenager who sees Kevin as competition for Zelda.
It was before videogame characters could talk and it was hard to make out what they were suppose to look like in 8 bit. Give them some credit for trying at least.
@@SBaby To be fair, Link was a rare exception in that version wasn't made for this show. That Link was from a preexisting Zelda cartoon and he had a guest appearance here.
@@maverickdarkrath4780 Few years after in 1994 that series came out. So it was after the Super Nes which is kind of where they got the look of that version. Captain N was in 89 to 91 so all they had was the first 2 Mega Man games to base him off. Plus anime stuff wasn't big in America at that time so he was western animation styled. Finally Capcom did a OVA anime based on him called Rockman: Upon a Star which looked more like the Japanese artwork and probably was more the vision of the game creators.
Apparently, Megaman and Christopher Nolan Batman shop at the same cigar store. Let's not forget that Megaman says 'mega' in every other sentence he says in the show. But then again, Mother Brain has the personality of the plant from Little Shop of Horrors.
This show is totally worth watching. It's one of those cartoons that is so fascinatingly bad that you have to see it just to know how deep the rabbit hole goes. Every time you think you've seen the pinnacle, they manage to outdo it with something even more ridiculous.
This clip is the tip of the iceberg. Wait until you see what they did with Alucard, the Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior (because it wasn't called Dragon Quest yet) worlds. Yeah, they're in this. He even teams up with Link from The Legend of Zelda in a couple episodes. And then there's Simon Belmont.
bad?, it looked like american made artists were designing the box art off games made in america, for capcom which started as a japanese company, megaman 6 is the only box art that made sense befor the X series and apparently megaman 6 isnt a official title or something like the rest.
Box art mega man looks like all the artist was told was the guy's called mega man and he shoots robots in the future. It's alright up until you open the box and find out you were bamboozled by the Japanese.
X: has crippling ptsd due to being forced to fight wars Zero: has to see his friends die in front of his eyes Geo: has severe trust issues after his father went missing Megaman: cigarette addiction
What's funny is that considering you can select stages in whatever order you want in Mega Man, the line "I went through it 50 times before I got to Cutsman!" implies he got stuck on the title screen.
"I went through it 50 times before I got to Cutsman." You either played some incredibly difficult bootleg or played the character selection screen 50 times.
Remember though. In his world, you have to fight a boss rush against every other robot master to get to Cutsman. Dead serious, by the way. They literally fight every robot master in his stage in the episode.
"I'm afraid this isn't the same as your game, Captain N" "What do you mean?" "What I think he means is everything looks like crap and nothing makes sense"
It's not so much he's strong; it's moreso who he's going up against is incredibly weak. The Megaman in this cartoon can be defeated just by sneezing in his direction.
"When I first played the game, I went through it 50 times before I got to Cutsman." "I'm afraid this isn't the same as your game, Captain N." Even Megaman knew how bullshit that claim was.
@@jasonrichards8114 It's Just How He Is Portrayed In The West, In The Original Japanese Version, Cutman Is Not A Incompetent For More Weak He Is, He Is Just Not Match For Megaman And EVEN Super Adventure Rockman, He Saves Megaman Once, And He Can Win A Fight Against Him And Become Playable In "Megaman: Powered Up", HOWEVER, This Last One Is Alternative.
I love how 90's tv show creators used their own artistic vision when worked with video game adaptations. This is something they call "zero fucks" nowadays.
Ok...so the difference between Cut Man and Cutsman is as simple as this; Cut Man is actually kinda cute in a way, not to mention, has a more threatning weapon (a pair of shears or cleavers pretty much). Cutsman literally has safety scissors glued to his head, and has to like, whip his head around to use said weapon (Cut Man can just throw it). Looks way too human, that voice makes me want to die, oh my god kill it.
How do you screw up Mega Man that bad? I don't recall ever seeing a green Mega Man, not even on the NES box art. Also it's Pit, not Kid Icarus. That's like calling Nathan Drake "Uncharted." Edit 1 Year Later: This comment is old and me being a cringe nerd why does it have so many likes lmao
Can you imagine it? Somewhere, a director and animator had to design this. They then looked at this and went, "Yes, this is good. Cut and print." That's amazing. Step aside Thanos, we have the Cutsman. Thanos snap? More like Cutsman cut.
I have two questions: 1) How the fuck can you screw up Cut Man's design so bad? 2) How the fuck do they think there's an 'S' in between 'Cut' and 'Man'?
I want to see a reboot where people actually capitalize on the lost potential this show had. Possibly with an expanded cast such as featuring the Mario Bros and Link as part of the main group.
The first Vinny animation edit. This is one step closer to the Adventures of Mario and Luigi, a well known Vinesauce series. This has been another huge milestone.
This video will always be a classic from vinny. Always. If RU-vid ever goes down, I hope this video is archived and put in a museum as an example of good RU-vid videos before its downfall.
Even Megaman's voice in Megaman 8 was better than this, and why does he look nothing like Megaman? I have a harder time believing that that thing is supposed to be cutman.
@@stellaviewer9849 They had no access to official art for any of the games. Heck they didn't even own most of the games featured in the show. So they had very little to work with
