Great video! I put on a new set of teeth Monday. I called our local Tigercat dealer, and in the last few months they’ve went up almost $50.00 for a box of 18. There’s nothing like cutting big pine with a new set of teeth.
I'm with you on that for sure. I a little over 400 hours now on the current set, looking forward to the next set. Enjoy them when you get them on, good cutting to ya!
Thanks! During my time as a logger I've learned a lot of ways how not to do things so I'm happy to hear that you have gotten an idea or two about HOW to do some things! Sounds like you are running buncher, whereabouts in the world do you work? Thanks for the comment, be safe!
Thanks! I ended up shoveling to finish up a couple of these units. Kept thinking, somebody did a great job cutting these! Yeah, can't complain, it's been a busy, good winter. Hopefully the same for you. Thanks, be safe.
@@thedailylogger Everything is good here. Had a good winter and got everything cut and out with about half a day to spare before it thawed. March 14 I think. Doing a little custom firewood processing for April till I start doing my own in May.
@@davidgibbons5366 Copy that. We called it Mud Season back in New England. It was always sweet when everything worked out and we could get it all trucked out before breakup. 'Course it didn't always work out that way and I can remember quite a few 24 to 72 hour around the clock stretches to get there! Good luck on your firewood project!
Nice wood Jason great job again…seems like we may have to go to the directional falling head soon. Works great in big wood. You see a lot of it in New Zealand
Hey Craig. Are you going to go to a 855 with the 5195? Cool! I am intrigued by the concept of a pin on heel rack with a 5195 head set up to attach to my current Buncher stick. I've run a Buncher that had this but with a heel and grapple that worked well. With threaded quick couples and my crane it wouldn't be too much of a project to swap over from one to the other. I know it wouldn't have the reach of an 855 front but the versatility of having Hotsaw and Directional Head capability seems like a perfect solution to the changing timber stands I run into. Haven't been brave enough to ask for a price yet though! Good to hear from you, hope your winters going well! Be safe.
