Cutting Access For Ford Ranger Fuel Pump

In todays video I Create an access hole from the top of my truck box to the fuel pump. I did it because I was having intermittent fuel pump issues, And when the day comes to replace the pump, harness or wiring, I will have a much easier time doing so.
In the next video I will be making the panel which closes in the hole we cut in the box today.

Did you have enough clearance to the bed front cross member that is hanging down after cutting the hole to get the fuel pump assembly in and out ok? It looks tight. I got to do this on an 07 Ranger. It does have the factory bed liner that will go over it. I did do this on an 88 Chevy S10 and it worked really great . I cut a bigger piece from a junked bed for a patch panel and screwed it down in the low valleys. It looks and works like it was factory.

"All I did was jiggle this and it started running." I'm gonna scoot under my truck and reach up between the tank and exhaust and see if I can just jiggle that thing then! May as well do that before taking the bed off and after trying the fuse, relay, and inertia switch.

ayyy, nice to see a new video man! Glad to see your doing good, and that the ranger still seems like its working good for you. Excited to see the next video too, also, down the road, it might not be a bad idea to get a rubber bed mat, or a drop in bedliner or something to help protect the bed. I know there are all sorts of options out there for that sort of thing.

Glad to see some people still want to watch the videos! Im not sure what Ill end up doing about the bed. I do have a bedliner, I just havent ever put it back in.

That sounds like it might've been easier. I just don't think I have that good of an understanding of how to go about that. I just stuck with what I was comfortable with and capable of. Thanks for taking the time to comment though! I hope you are doing well
