jstapo 85 They are evergreen, but I cut mine back in autumn which helps the plant to grow well next season. Bees love this plant and the smell is lovely.
Hi, John! Regarding the 'Catmint' Nepata, does this apply to ALL catmint's? I just bought, by mistake, one called 'hybrid' and so, I have no idea what type it is.
I have a few Munstead Lavenders that I grew from seeds. They have not stopped blooming so I just cut off the old flowers but am I supposed to cut back the foliage at all and when? Zone 5 NYS USA.
Lavender should never be cut back right to the base as it may not regrow. It’s best given a light tidy up if necessary after flowering and a semi hard cut back in late spring.
