I love your video Jerry.. so cool watching that process of getting lumber. A lot of hard work.. you're a smart man figuring all of that out. So good to see your daughter, she is beautiful.. hope to see more of her too. Prayers of blessings, strength and health. 👏🙏😃
Again a perfect example of the ABILITY God gives. To the world it looks like a one man show until they try to acquire the peace and patience of the physical work, and to give love you have to have love, and God says anyone that has love has me and you can definitely see the love you have for your beautiful daughter and your animals and just to be alive. You can tell how grateful you are for everything you have 😅 that brother is why I continue to watch, your uplifting truthful, honest, grateful man of God Videos until next time. Hallelujah.
Here in NY a 1x12 softwood is 26.63 for an 8' ft length, actual thickness is 3/4". Estimating each of your boards would be twice that if you could find them that wide, so yeah, the small mill is quite an investment as the margin of profit increases. The same goes for the savings.
@@logcabinlifestyle 3 years ago my neighbor paid a company to cut down an oak in my yard - it was blocking sunlight from his pool. They estimated the tree at at 135-150 years old and just as high. I remember when it fell' for the first few moments the inside was blue like the color of the sky. The trunk then turned white and stayed like that for a few days before fading. Being a good neighor has it's downsides.
I’d hate to see you get hurt doing any of this sort of work, although you are extremely skillful. I’d imagine it would be safer (yet harder to judge and analyze) to hook up your truck and a winch to the doggies to get them up on that there portable sawmill? I’d love an opinion or reason why this wouldn’t be a good idea. Just food for thought I suppose. Thanks for the content you share, it’s important to me. Hope you are finding yourself well these days! Keep it up!
You are never really alone 😇 I’d like to know I you know if there is a way to distress corrugated metal to look old like you did the cabin wood to match the weathered wood? I want to use it inside my house but don’t want old rusty metal rotting through but also don’t want it to look bright and shiny. Any thoughts? Thank you for sharing your journey!
Jerry who is there with you just in case of a freak accident? I always think of that because i do things by myself as well and its just me the widow here and 2 dogs lol
