Ola boa noite?? O meu recorte fica cerca de 1mm fora se "se nao escalar" e quando coloco para "escalar" sai cerca de 0,5 mm. Sabe o que poderia ser??

Thank you for this video! I've been trying to help my dad (who is a beginner with LightBurn) figure out how to do exactly this! He had been struggling for a while and after I watched this video, I was able to set up a project with target points and it came out perfectly!

Thanks. This took me a couple tries to really understand the logistics of the process, but now I'm confident I can pull this off in the future with no problems. Good explanation.

Nice job...I wouldn't want to do this all the time but it's great to see that it can be done. I'm a newbie with a new machine and just learning lightburn too!.

don't wanna be picky but instead of saving the files as separate names, you could just click on the bottom bit and click on a layer at the bottom to swap it to a new one then untick output . then switch layers or configure that layer to what you need , to do the other part . Just feels cleaner to have parts that go together in the same file. especially if they are this simple
@LetsMakeAThing
@LetsMakeAThing 10 месяцев назад
It may be fixed now, but in the past people had issues trying to do multiple part cuts when everything was in one file. Which is why I put mine in multiple files.

Could you have done this with a previewcamera attached? Or would it not be accurat enough?
@LetsMakeAThing
@LetsMakeAThing 5 месяцев назад
Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't have a preview camera so I haven't had a chance to test it.

What about x and y by moving the machine And leaving piece stationary
@LetsMakeAThing
@LetsMakeAThing 5 месяцев назад
Good question. You could move the machine and then run the print and cut routine again. You should get the same results.

I am also interested in this, how to prepare large drawing to be cut on large plywood sheet. It needs to be cut on x and y axis. I only managed to find instruction on one axis. Actualy I would like to laser cut kayak parts from sheet of plywood with laser cutter that has working area of 600x600mm. If you do this kind of video, I am sure it will be the first on YT. 🙂

Hello new follower excellent content,I have two questions,can i do this process of the split in multiple cuts for a larger piece?(for example 3,4,5 split parts) and my other question is if the laser set up options have to be user origin ? In order to apply the print and cut or I can do it in absolute coordinates too? Im rookie with the laser machine 😅, thanks!
@LetsMakeAThing
@LetsMakeAThing 8 месяцев назад
Yes, you can do this with multiple splits. Lightburn will automatically set the origin type when you select print and cut.

Is there a reason for when you click jog to second position its so far off (for me at least) i would have thought that it would be bang on in at least one axis.
@LetsMakeAThing
@LetsMakeAThing 10 месяцев назад
Try engraving a square and measure the dimensions of the engrave versus the dimensions in Lightburn. If the dimensions are significantly different in one or both axis you may have a belt tension issue with the laser.

You say you are using the sandy ply, have you had good luck with cutting as well as engraving? I'm trying to find wood that is close to me for projects that I can use for both cutting out and engraving. Thanks.
@LetsMakeAThing
@LetsMakeAThing 3 месяца назад
Yes I have had success with cutting and engraving both on the sande ply. For engravings I'm talking surface level marking basically, I haven't tried doing any deep engraves on the plywood.

You mentioned that you intentionally placed the crosshairs close to the cut line. Wouldn't it improve accuracy to space the crosshairs as far apart as possible?
@LetsMakeAThing
@LetsMakeAThing 10 месяцев назад
In all my testing I found I didn't need a ton of distance between the crosshairs to get an accurate alignment. Your mileage may vary though.
