Yes, and I scraped up that exact spot last year. so that is all new gold from this years flood....I have to say that river moves a lot of gold.....but I won't say that too loud.
I also replaced the mat in mine, but used the Dream mat combo with a Jarvie riffle at the top... now the mini monster is a mega monster ! Night and day difference!!
Gog fox builds a awsome little highbanker. But they always put in terrible mats, our other one had the hig mats.. they only had about a 60% recovery rate we switched that one to expanded metal and moss and so much better.. but since we went with the dream mat I only find one ir 2 specks of fly poop. So it's over 98% recovery now.

Yes, it can. I usually don't take the clay itself because I've never found any in the clay there. Only on the surface....but I do end up getting some. It also makes a mess of the river when processed there.

thats really strange you saying the original mats dont catch gold. You are either getting kick backs from David Paterson, or you have no idea how to use the original mats that comes with the gold fox
