Yellow jackets are the reason that I look like a green marshmallow man on my tractor now. I bought a bee suit to wear while cutting. I look ridiculous, but I've hit 4 nests so far without being stung.
@zfilmmaker could you wire me the money for one good sir or ma'am? 🤣. Long story short, they used to not bother me until this year. Apparently, my allergies are getting worse and I can't just stop cutting for the year. It's a temporary solution while I find a skid steer for next season
@@greenwoodsbushhogging6704 there are many options for a cab tractor. I love Ford tractors, I collect them of sorts. I just bought a low hour 1980 6610 with a cab for 11k. I did just a little bit of work and fixed an issue with AC and it’s a solid tractor. I love how simple those tractor are. When something goes wrong with my Fendt tractors, it almost always requires the dealer. You can find used skid loaders of all prices but definitely find a local heavy equipment mechanic to go check it out first.

People always want something for nothing, good clients as well as good contractors are increasingly hard to come by these days. If you choose to do extra to help out the client then that's up to you, it also depends if you have the time and right equipment as well. By now people should have seen your shop window, U-tube, if that's not what they want then they need to get someone else in. 🤗

I think it heavy duty rake attachment to that blade would be beneficial to take all the routes out, especially getting the stumps up with the tilt blade will be a dream
Hi jon. That is a good old dozer. Hey if you do want to get a bigger unit with a cab talk to Clint over at c&c . I'm sure he could find what you want in your price range!
Like you said a Dozer just isn't the right piece of equipment for removing large bushes & trees especially when the stumps & roots need to be removed. But sometimes you just have to go along with the "customer knows best" :-) That 6" to 8" Tree is really not a big tree as Trees go & that Dozer just didn't have what it takes to even get that over.
I know all about the 'while your here, can you do this' trick. Just had it happen yesterday on a small job where I had a minimum fee with a certain amount of hours. I worked up to the hours and then walked the area, while walking back to my equipment he says oh were you not going to do that area.? I said didn't you agree to this certain amount of time? He said oh the agreed time was up, I was like yeah. He said something to the affect oh I thot you would just do that while your here. It was an area he never showed me.
Always enjoy the videos John, and enjoy working for good, thankful customers too. I’m the same, always hate the “while you’re here” people who try to take advantage for free while you’re here. I’ll get that all the time in my small landscaping company. Most ppl have no idea what that extra stuff actually costs us, Are you going to be in Louisville next week for the expo?
I think when people ask for a little extra they have it there mind they are paying you what they make in a week or two in a day a expect excellence. They do not see the fuel cost machine insurance taxes every thing else that goes into. For sure there are alot of naggers out there but and people have a hard time seeing things for the other persons perception.
That’s the wrong machine for this work…you need to find a nice used CAT 953/963 crawler loader. Having a tooth bucket and loader really helps pull stumps out easier and dragging brush like you are, the teeth grab hold of roots.
