10/10 content. this video needs to be viewed by anyone who owns a scolymia or thinking of owning one. I'd say the clams have finally recently died off as their food supply has begun to run out as that Scolymia retracted and lost more and more flesh, they lost their host. What a bizarre relationship.

Maybe the clams were living in the scoly and died when you dipped him, and he just deteiorared with all the holes in him? Hope he recovers well, try elevating the calcium+alk to help him regrow. Also, i know i said this before, but that aquascape is absolutely incredible, keep it up!

I am so scared of scoly’s. I love the look but can’t get over the initial cost. I now know what to look for if I decide to purchase one. Thanks for the content.

Whenever I frag corals with a porous skeleton, I really don't like to leave all the new holes that I've exposed via cutting as I think they're just an invitation for critters & nasties etc to move into. So after I've dipped & rinsed the coral I dry the skeleton & give it a coating of superglue (obviously avoiding the fleshy parts) to seal everything up. I've also found scollys & lobos etc struggle to grow back over the spikey bits of old skeleton that circle around the top as it irritates/damages any new flesh growth that butts up to them so I very carefully remove them with something like an aquasaw or Dremel & try to smooth everything out as much as possible to make an easier path for new growth 👍

I have never seen someone attempting to feed a coral as it sits in revive etc

Hey there I’ll be setting up a 60x26x24 inch 150 gallon mixed reef tank. So for the lighting I have two options they are 3 Radion XR15 G6 Pro’s or 3 Kessil Tuna Blue 360X. I really love the shimmer of the kessils but the Radions reduce shadowing. Which lights would you suggest? Do let me know, thanks!

Cool info. If this doesnt work cut it in half or 1/4s through the mouth. Mine looked like yours and the frags are doing great 4 wks in.
