I literally tried this about an hour ago and it WORKED!!! HALLELUJAH! 🙌 I cut about 4" of over-processed, damaged HAY off my ends. Followed her advice on neck (more like I looked upward while combing and combining together into a ponytail) then cut *straight* across. Took the ponytail out and almost peed myself with glee over the straight line!! Then I sectioned off, made a ponytail at the BACK for just the underside part of my hair and fine-tuned the stragglers and did some texturing. Looks SO GOOD! I've been wanting to go more blunt-cut for a while.
@@delilahflores8216 most likely. if you're trying to grow out an a shaped bob, i would wait until the back grew out to at least jaw length, then slowly move the front pieces up, every two months or so. if you'd like to grow it even longer once it's grown out, i'd only trim when your ends start thinning out/splitting. trim the split ends. no more, no less. you don't need a specific schedule.
Same here. I don’t know if I wanna try cutting my hair the way she did because it made sense or because I think I might look like her if I do. She’s so stunning
i tried this today! i think the technique was great, i was surprised how even everything was from the first cut! i have like 5 times as much hair as she has so i made a gathered section under my chin, and then sectioned that into 4 more gathered sections and then cut the ends of those. i also used some thinning sheers and thinned the hell out of my hair to get rid of the triangle shape and it looks great! i'm so glad i did this! i was always really afraid to cut my own hair, but honestly i've paid for worse haircuts lol
I style my hair with rollers too! You should try putting them in when your hair is about halfway dry and let them dry in the curlers so you don't get so much heat damage
this is my first time writing a comment, i was so insecure about my long hair and decided to cut my own hair in the middle of the night. IT TURNED OUT GREAT! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH
I had a very similar cut to yours after growing it for a couple years, but didn’t know what to do with it, it was uneven in some places, some dead ends at the very end, I didn’t really wanna go to a salon for such a small amount of work, the last time I went in I left horrified, as she cut way more off than I wanted. I’ve been trying to grow my hair ever since. I just followed this tutorial and I love it, such a small amount of trimming but it drastically changed my hairs look. Thank you 🥰💕
Don't cut it shorter! Your hair is jaw-droppingly gorgeous and if it were mine I'd show it off in it's long, luscious glory hehehe. You did so well chopping it, when I cut my hair it never goes right..
4am in the morning here. One of the best videos I find so far that's suitable for me, both on techniques used and style and length I wanted to achieve. About to sleep on it to make a decision whether I should do it to chop my 20 inches long hair off to her length or not. Wish me luck lol
Thanks to your first video of you cutting your hair, I did mine. I was scared but I liked how it turned out. I specially like how you do your bangs. Immune came out pretty much like yours. Thanks!
You have beautiful hair and you def now to care for it. Great job, lady! Thanks for this tutorial because I always end up with the v in the back. Can’t wait to dry it.
I absolutely love watching your videos! I feel like your voice is sooo calming and your style makes me wanna dress more feminine! Keep up the amazing content ♥️♥️
Since finding your video during lockdown, I prefer cutting my own hair to going to a salon. (Somehow, no matter how clear I try to be, they never do what I say??)
Erin Jackson it grows out, and if you cut it badly you can go to a hairdresser or get a friend to do it. I think it’s fun to try out different lengths! Everyone’s different though
I like that thing you did, curl the ends and then put hair in rollers. Definitely going to try it cause we have the same hair and it just sits flat on the top after I iron it.
How does she get that blunt, even, look in the back? The video was edited during that part and can't quite understand what she did. If someone could explain it'd be amazing! She is so stunning!! 😍
she tilted her head back when tieing under her chin so as to losen the u shape and more straighter in the back. in the end she tied a ponytail at the back too to cut the longer bits. i guess it's a bit of trial and error. hope it makes sense! xx
I'm trying to get this exact haircut for awhile and even trying to get it professionally done I've only managed to have one cutter do it right and ever since then I've been hearing that this hairstyle wouldn't look good on me blah blah. I am gonna try this tomorrow! Wish me luck!
Gorgeous cut!! It really really suits you! 🌟 I love the foam rollers from home bargains too - they’re brilliant for creating vintage-y waves! Deffo going to give the velcro ones a try afyer watching this!! xx
Wow you kind of look like Anne Hathaway! Awesome!! 😄 I'm going to try to cut my hair this way, I love blunt cuts. I hope I can make my ends look as neat as yours, in the past I could never get them even and also I have no proper hair scissors but in the off-chance it may look this good I'll just yolo it 😌
Okay so I did the ponytails in the back, then held it flat, then cut it and mine came out a bit higher in the middle and longer on each side. So I do I get the two sides to match the middle now?
You did a great job. I,m going to start cutting my own. I,m in hiding over a horrible haircut, which cost alot. It will take 6 to 8 months to get my length back at least. If you cut it yourself, you,ll get what you want for free
ANYONE ON QUARANTINE WHO READS THIS AND WANTS TO KNOW IF IT WORKS: i tried it out yesterday and i did not left me bald😂 i actually loved how it turned out😍, definetly a 10/10 just be patient and be really carefull when cutting. I asked my sister for help when dividing my hair and it turned out perfect so you can ask other for help too :) Also with practice you’ll get better everytime! Thank you for this video!!!💗
anyone knows the name of her beautiful accent? btw I been struggling alot with my hair, thanks to your vidoe, just got new ideas of styling my hair without damage hopefully :))
You have such beautiful hair!! Thanks for the video-- very helpful (I like your tortie, as well) :-) How many rollers do you use and how long do you keep them in?
Everyone is saying Anne Hathaway but honestly my first impression is a younger Donna Paulsen from Suits (Sarah Refferty). Absolutely stunning nevertheless!!
