I relate. It wasn’t as bad as it should have been tho. I mean honestly if she gets it fixed and asks for a V-cut there won’t be a whole lot to be shaped up. I mean yet it needs work. But for a home hair cut with an AXE not bad.

Paging Brad Mondo...you really need to see this. Honestly, I wasn't expecting the axe to be the tool chosen...but that was a very nice blunt chop! Could have done the vertical cuts with it as well, I think, rather than the scissors. Random Person: "Hey, your hair looks great!" Katelyn: "Thanks, my husband cut it with an axe in our workshop!" As a cosmetologist, I love how much Ethan knows the different terms and the whole ponytail thing 😭😂 Also yes, feathering is for texture so your ends don’t look as blunt and straight cut across. Also helps to blend layers together. There’s a couple ways you can do texturing and blending, you can point cut which is what Ethan was doing with the cutting upwards on the ends, then there’s one where you twist the hair into a spiral/twisted together and you cut that at angles not going the whole way through the whole thing helps create more layers and blends. There’s a bunch of techniques you can look up and try! Ethan actually did pretty great! Your hair came out beautifully.
