Pointman - A chip is certainly a possibility, but this is all about giving yourself the best chance to make the save. You can eliminate the risk of getting chipped by staying close to your line, but if you do that, you are almost certainly going to get scored on by giving the shooter everything to shoot at. No guarantees, but MUCH better chance of making the save by being aggressive here and cutting that angle.
