I would keep Ryu, he's an icon. When I think "fighting games," he's the first character who comes to mind. I think keeping that genre representation in Smash is important.

Joker feels "too niche" yet he wins tournaments from last year and early this year thanks to MK Leo....okay In all seriousness, I do disagree with you on Joker because I personally feel that with his inclusion to smash and how to kicked off the fighter's pass with a bang, he was the one character everyone was hyped for because you never see it coming (pardon the pun). Not to mention that Atlus and Nintendo has a good relationship with each other, which is how they able to let us play the SMT/Persona Q games on the 3ds and they recently announced SMT 5 for the switch. The only hate Joker ever really got was he rose quickly to top tier and MK Leo kept winning with Joker. But it's the typical behavior within the smash community, hate on top tiers or characters they can't stand watching.

Never let this man be in charge of who makes it in the next smash game...

I don’t think there should be another Smash Game after this to be honest, I mean this is “the ultimate smash” where “everyone is here”. It would feel wrong having another smash. I think they should just port smash to the newer console, and have both the Switch Version and the Newer Version Compatible, so people can still play on both

Everyone always looks at representation, but I wish they'd take movesets into account as well. I'd prefer Piranha Plant, Wii Fit, Duck Hunt, etc. over someone like Roy.

Nahh as much as a I don’t really care for Pikmin, you can’t get rid of Olimar because it’s still a pretty popular franchise for Nintendo Also Bayonetta as a franchise in smash, considering her history with Nintendo, there’s no way they’d cut Bayo.

ultimate has set the standards so high that I think they could probably just get away with porting it to new consoles. Maybe with added dlc

Does someone agree with me that cutting Wolf, Snake, Ryu, Joker, Terry and Byleth over Roy, Icies, R.O.B, Incineroar and Hero was a huge mistake? And imo, he should have removed Falco and replaced him with Wolf since he's a demi-clone of Fox like Dr. Mario with Mario.

Overall, reacting as I see it. Ditching the Echo Fighters and Semiclones makes sense but I think even of the original twelve they shouldn't all stay. Not unless they get a serious revamp. Mario and Zelda have good picks. Incineroar staying makes the least sense of the reps you hadn't mentioned up to that point. Lucario and Greninja win the popularity polls far more often, just look to Pokemon running one themselves via Google, and Lucario's even making a resurgence. Marth, Roy, Ike, and Robin...not...the worst combination. I might have ditched Roy and gone with Corrin personally. Or just ditched Roy period. ROB and Mr. Game & Watch feel the only fair miscellaneous ones to keep. Keeping Diddy Kong is precarious but it makes sense. Wario's good, Samus and Ridley are good, and...Falco staying is weird. I'd keep Wolf and remove Falco as Wolf already got revamped to be different enough. Kirby should keep all three and maybe get a fourth honestly. Pit and Palutena, agreed. Ness but not Lucas...sad to say but I do agree. Shulk, Inkling, and Min Min, I agree, unless Min Min gets replaced with someone else. Villager staying but not Isabelle...Isabelle's a semiclone so you kinda covered that already. Disagree on removing Little Mac and Olimar, but Wii Fit Trainer...I have to agree. Keeping the Miis, kind of a necessity but they should be consolidated to one slot with more variability. While Sonic, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Ryu, Simon, and Banjo make sense to stay, the other third-party picks do not out of the current ownership for them being...I don't even need to get into it. That or they're echoes.

Roy is kind of a semi clone... Byleth is way more interesting imo. Also, I think Greninja should stay instead of Incineroar, he is way more popular and unique imo.

Aaronitmar, I understand that Roy is like the OG but....... his original game wha never been officially localized, and unless there is a remake of binding blade coming up, I don’t really see much of a reason to keep Roy. As of now, it is very likely that the next fire emblem game will be a remake of path of radiance. ( which was the game Ike came from. ) Roy is just...... outdated to me, people only know him because of smash, not anything else. I would personally switch up Roy for byleth but you do have a few points about Roy yourself.

Honestly I think Byleth is the best all around representative of Fire Emblem as a whole. My biggest problem was never the number of Fire Emblem characters. It was the number of them that just used swords, which made them all look the same. There's a ton of other weapons in FE besides swords which made the inclusion of so many swordsmen so baffling. Byleth showcases all sorts of different weapons from Fire Emblem. And because of that he does the best job representing the series as a whole. So I'd probably keep him in because he's more Fire Emblem than anyone else in Smash.

I'm a Kirby main, so I don't fear cuts lol. That being said, Kirby NEEDS a remake. He has so many abilities that could be incorporated into his movset, you could make multiple Kirby fighters!

Steve would be hard, Sephiroth would be a coin flip, Pythra is an east stay, Kazuya is likely to and Sora actually is likely to stay cause Disney was fine with it.

I’d love to see an updated version of this now that we have the full roster.

I don't think Olimar would ever get cut. Pikmin, while not a big Nintendo franchise, is definitely a notable one and with Pikmin 4 presumably coming in the future, cutting Olimar would not make much sense.
