I mean I'm sure people would be excited and curious about a "vs" collection that has Capcom vs. SNK Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2, and maybe even SVC Chaos; provided that we get arcade perfect gameplay, trophies, GGPO online, and any additional content added to the console versions.

@@meyes5671 I got that. 👍 But really I'm surprised to hear people not even being aware of the Capcom vs. SNK and SNK Vs. Capcom series even being a thing. But then again, Capcom skipped out on doing remasters/ports of those on the PS3 generation, and the PS2 generation is where they came out. SVC Chaos (for example) never got a US PS3 release. It was supposed to back in 2005 or so and I was excited about it til SCEA decided not to localize it, which of course meant it went to Xbox. I never was able to play a proper version of Capcom vs. SNK or Capcom vs. SNK Pro since those were released on DreamCast (US for the original and also Japanese, and the Pro only Japan only). So I of course had the PS1 crappy port to play. Luckily I was able to play the PS2 version of Capcom vs. SNK 2 and it was fun while I played it. But man... Such missed opportunities here with the "vs" games. I *really* hope Capcom, Marvel, and SNK doesn't miss out this time and does "vs" series collections on PS4, Switch, and X1. Marvel vs. Capcom Collection - X-Men vs Street Fighter - Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter - Marvel vs. Capcom - Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Capcom vs. SNK Collection - Capcom vs. SNK Pro - Capcom vs. SNK 2 - SVC Chaos: SNK Vs. Capcom If they can get those 2 releases, update the graphics, GGPO online, trophies, etc. That would be amazing; especially for the FGC (Fighting Game Community). Then maybe we can get: - Marvel vs. Capcom 4 (Infinite I don't count) - Capcom vs. SNK 3 - SVC Chaos 2

Having the snk characters at best A tier by Wong is not wrong, but the difference in tiers is minimal between s and a tier when played with players that can take it to competitive level, but not like Evo level. King is fun to play and "trash tier" characters can hold their own if played properly. She won't win tournaments for sure though lmfao.

She is all about zoning and chip. But this game has roll cancels and guard cancels. Along with burst damage. Her gameplan isnt very effective here. Same with Benimaru whose game is basically pretty similar.

Best version of my favorite character (Rock Howard) in the best 2d fighting game ever made. Everyone plays Rock in K groove (yeah, just defend is awesome), but I always preferred to use N groove. Justin, why doesn’t anyone use N groove? It as so much utility (extra damage, lv 1 and 3 supers, roll cancels)

Yeah, I've played with Joe and I definitely don't think he's trash tier. The guy has two really good meaty the low fierce kick and the rapid punch that can be used for chip, decent normal not great, two good supers, good anti-air, good projectile, a move that goes over projectiles, an instance overhead, and a decent roll. Free chip from being aggressive with the rapid punch and you can roll cancel the rapid punch. Joe was not a footsie character like most of the top but he a lot of tools to fight people.

Despite tournaments always featuring the same teams from S Tier, I always had a lot of fun creating different styles and strats from the A and B Tier characters. I loved playing Iori, Cammy, Ken, Hibiki, Eagle, and Terry with C groove and N groove.

I really like playing Maki, it took me a month to understand her strengths but once you understand how to utilize her dashes, walls, and air defense via air guard or jd. She amazing.

Sad thing is, the only way to play the original CVS2 online is with Parsec on a dreamcast emulator. Capcom needs to give this game a proper re-release with GGPO. edit UPDATE: You can now use FC2 for cvs2! Edit 2: the game is actually getting re-released!

I consistently wrecked my friends with Ryo. His Tenchi Haoh Ken super is one of the most lethal counterstrikes in all of fighting games. And while it's awesome seeing a living legend of the Street Fighter Circuit review KOF characters, but it's heartbreaking to see him placed in the trash tier...

My favorite fighting games that one and Street fighter 2. Me and my brother s and my family and friend's had great memories with these. We were the best. The Solis bros & amigos. We beat people in USA and in Japan. Especially when they had arcades. 1 day I would like to play against other games. Like u Justin. To be the man you have to beat the man. Whoohhh

I agree with the S list, except that Sakura should switch with Chun Li. More people are good with Chun Li and I only see few that really use Sakura in the best way.

Quite frankly I like seeing a trash character beat that smelly feet bastard Blanka. Personally the only ones I'd count as absolute trash are Benimaru, Jun, Dan & King. Yuri is my favourite trash character who is part of my team mostly.

So vice is underrated as shit. She has a cross screen command grab that throws you into corner and her command grab super is unblockable. Plus her air leg cutter move (don't remember actual name) can let you get you in range for it.

This was great, brought me back to 2002. I remember when NorCal (SVGL) was the best outside of Japan with Choi, Ricky, Oliver, Leezy, Dr.B, etc......Oliver never even went to tournaments and was one of the best in the Country.

I think nokoruru should be in B tier, she has strong engagement and can punish when played right. Also although risky, if you use her falcon and position correctly, alot of utility opens up.

To all of you the say yall want CVS2 re-released just know the Netcode will be trash. Also 3s, MVC2, ST and HF(SF2 Turbo) has all been re-released and its a STILL ghost town. i love Capcom vs SNK 2 as a game ... only real big problem imo is how unbalanced it is. The SNK characters and grooves are so bad in comparison to Capcoms. Capcom made sure to make nerfed versions of SNK characters by taking moves away and making their hit/hurtboxes poor while giving Capcom stuff they never had before... A groove can roll? Why? C groove can super cancel a level? Why? Ken has a Crack shoot? Why?

This is another reason why I hate CVS 2 They made Yun so trash at this game they replaced his You Hou and Sorai Rengeki to some wack ass lee brothers combo and his Genei Jin is terrible it doesn't do a lot of damage it doesn't matter what groove you pick it's terrible CVS 2 fucked up my character

I think this tier list is spot on for the most part. That said I think Morrigan could be move up to A. Her N groove mix up shenanigans are pretty deadly and she can easily combo into her Darkness illusion from crouching short.

I’m far from a pro player, but I’ve played this game a ton and I definitely prefer Iori (my main), Cammy, Blanka, Sakura, and Sagat, but man…Joe, King, Benimaru, and Yuri were some of my other mains!! I somehow had good strats with all of them. But I fully agree with the rest of trash tier. 😂 Kyo, Vice, Terry, Nakoruru, and Yamazaki were my other go-to fighters. There were others like Hibiki, Rugal, and Eagle who I almost got down, but their moves just never really clicked for me, fully.

I remember playing this game all day when I was in high school. I remember I sucked ass at doing motions so my team was N-groove, just all normals, only using bar to activate. Just Hibiki, Sagat, Vega, but barely even trying to do specials, pure footsies. Good times.
