Welcome to Cinematic Volcanoes, the filmmaking adventure vlog series from Page Films!
I've been creating moving pictures for the last couple decades and in recent years my journey into the realm of natural history and experimental films has become a full time endeavor. Being born and raised on the slopes of Mauna Loa, I've naturally gravitated toward Hawaii's volcanoes as a fascinating subject to explore. Since 2014 I have been lugging heavy packs into treacherous active lava zones to capture Kilauea's historic eruptions and then translate them into cinematic art. My productions are often solo and have been some of the most intense and memorable experiences of my life.
With this vlog series, my goal is to bring viewers along on some of these incredible adventures and break down my various techniques and camera gear along the way. Join the adventure, check out the vlogs and subscribe to my RU-vid channel if you dig it! Huge mahalo for your support.
This vlog is the first of three installments that feature the behind the scenes of my film HI Altitude: Hawaii's Tallest Volcanoes:
