Great promotion on at the moment, buy a Combi Next inc internal washpump and get a 4" aerated pressure drain, 3m of 1 and 4" pipe and a 1 and 4" 90° elbow!
great filter and not much out there for customers to get a good understanding of them so we thought we'd take the opportunity to do a walk around.
any questions as always feel free to ask

Ive been looking at buying 1 of these filters, but im struggling to find anywhere that gives you the water level dimensions? Im wanting to know what the water level needs to be measured from the base of the filter?

Hi just wondering if it's possible to plumb the external pressure pump to the mains water to pump through the spray bar? Cheers

Hi Dom, yes you can, when ordering let us know so we send a suitable pressure pump out, this one is submerged into the bio chamber so cannot be used in that way, but we have a solution for you. Many Thanks

@@cwdpond ah right that's great. I can see this model has the internal wash pump but you can get the unit with an external unit. Does this pump need modifying or can I just plumb the mains water line to that pump? Someone said I could run the mains water into a header tank and plumb the pump to that but not run the mains line directly into the pump? Dom

@@dompeel4791 your mains can run to the pump but as you say it'd need a settling tank before It would be easier just setting up a trickle in trickle out

@@cwdpond yes I know what you mean. My thinking was I'll save money from buying it with the internal wash pump and then I'll still have two usable outlets as I've seen people plumbing the external pumps to the outlet of the bio chamber. Really appreciate your time and help btw👍

I have this filter my BIG issue is the small bio chamber. A pond is advised to have 5 to 10% of its volume as biological filtration. Even at 5% the filter can only handle at 7.000 liter pond, while rated at 20.000 liter.

This is rated at 45,000 litres and has a 350ltr bio chamber If you research hel-x media you'll understand that it can cope with 170g of feed a day, more than enough for a 7000 litre pond with 175 litres of media...

I have this filter and fitted around 200liters of k+ in the moving bed. It can handle around 1kg of food every day.. I think it a big misconception the filter to water ratio. I always comes down to how much food you put in and how much food your filter can handle 🙂 It's a great filter - with some mods 🙃

@@koikanalen funny you commented on this videoi just watched yours 😆 what mods did you do? is that a protein skimmer pipe you have right before the inlet ?

@@EL_Toro1 its a protein skimmer 💪. Simple and works very well. The most important mod, was new air system.. i got 3 airstones istead of 1 and they are on the bottom and not 5cm over, like the standard one. I use a 65l/m air pump. You can see it in my video, Vlog8 Around 4:10 👍 In case you dont understand danish, feel free to ask any questions 😅
