The best part is listening to Alyssa give honest thoughts. She doesn't sugar-coat anything. I noticed she has a more involved role in the videos lately.
A few years I found this guy all excited about buying the cheapest used little ev on it's last legs. He charged it as much as he could. And then he just drove it until it ran out of juice. That Nissan Leaf went further than anyone thought. That passion still shines though. Congratulations. PS I look forward to a review of the BYD Seagull or Seals🐬. I finally in a position to make the transition myself.
While Alyssa's removal was entertaining, I'm flabbergasted as to why dealers do not remove all the plastic before the buyer takes delivery. Removing all the plastic from my Ioniq 5 was very frustrating!
@@pokerguvna978 I mean they might if you ask. Personally as someone who made a dealer ship my last car 7 hours so I could get it in as new a state as possible I want it as close to rolling off the factory floor as possible.
I'm not, because it's not real, but I want it to become real. They need to stay in business till they can get it into production, get it ramped, and make money on it. I hope it happens. They look great. And I home they make a sh!t ton of Amazon vans while we wait.
@@fjalics That is absolutely true. It will be a test of time for Rivian to pull out these cars on time if they can survive all that cash they are currently burning
Really appreciate your content. You do not own stock in any of these EV builders and do not seem overly worried about saying critical things with fear of builders not giving you access to the press fleets/events. It has been great to watch Out of Spec grow. I question so much media I consume, but your content comes across as legit and that is rare these days. Keep up the great work Kyle and team.
@@egs2169 I willing to take Kyle at his word. If he has an index fund with Tesla in it, that would be very minor. Most index funds do not have one company as the dominant stock based on percentage of value. I am sure Kyle has some tiny conflict of interest if you look at everything under a microscope, but compared to the vast majority of media channels doing vehicle reviews he appears to have among the least conflicts of interest and has been very candid about his thoughts on all the vehicles he has reviewed. Many are afraid of hurting the feelings of builders due to losing access to press vehicles and press events.
"media channels" ?, there are media channels? I suppose everyone is making a living covering Tesla. All of the negative ones make more money - they owe their living off of click bait. All "professionals" are negative on everything, news by definition is negative news since decades ago.
Best ev-channel out there. Kyle is always so totally honest and genuine. Always paying close attention to his thoughts. One smal wish is you go to colder climates to test and drive your cars. Looking forward to following the Refrigerator Beast here on the channel.
I took delivery of my Model 3 in 2021 from Jacksonville as well, was a very quick and smooth experience. I turned right out of there then did a U-turn to head back home to Gainesville and instantly did a full send on the throttle. 😂
Of all the things Tesla didn't enable from the start, the lack of 800v charging is by far my biggest peeve. That's the whole point of the Cybertruck. Tesla's 1st 800v EV.
I love your guys content, thanks for making it for us! That being said, you’ve gotta chill about no fsd. You know better than anyone that the fleet trains the system. No fleet, no training
Thank you to Kyle, Alyssa, and the whole OoS team - I truly appreciate all your content and your extensive reviews of the Ioniq 5 were a huge part of my decision to purchase in 2023. That said, I regret to inform you that nothing you have ever done or will do in the future is going to top Alyssa yelling "MY NUTS!" as Kyle "gives it the beans". 😄
He’s very obnoxious, condescending and a know it all, paying all that money for a car u have to sit up to an hour to charge it in the middle of a road trip, if the charger is working when u reach it, this guy is so stuck in his self he talks to hear himself talk
@@xeloniousferrell8773 "An hour"? It's obvious you dont watch this channel. "If it's working"? Tesla superchargers are very reliable. What are you even doin here man, stop hate watching.
Unbiased real life reviews are the way to go. The good, the bad, the unexpected. Honest feedback is invaluable for Tesla too so that the refresh CT is improved in a few years 😝. I'm a bit in the same boat as in the design of the CT is not for me (I don't want or need something that big either in my small European city) but I'm glad we're finally going to see different things on the roads: I can't stand the SUV boredom we've been having for 20 years... I'm also more interested in the tech innovations inside the CT than the aesthetics. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, love all your content but I don't understand paying $122,000 usd and you are still in the Tesla parking lot and picking out problems already. Does Tesla not have a quality control department? Does it not bother you? I live in Montreal Canada and not a rich guy but if I did have the money I think It would really bug me. Thanks again you guys are great!
This reminds me of when I received my Signature Series Model S in 2012. Lots of things just weren't available yet, like the interior rear deck lid, and rear spoiler (that I decided not to have installed). Also, the software back then was in its infancy. I think I must have gotten 3 updates in the first 6-8 weeks, and some of them dramatically changed the 'personality' of the car (significant changes to the interface). I still miss the old version of the MP3 player that was replaced later. It had the ability to identify songs by artist, album, genre, etc. But it would also play (and randomize) all songs from a given artist, no matter what album they were from. I kept my entire music collection on a USB thumbdrive (a bit more than 65Gb of music) in that car. Just a rant, sorry.
I was low key waiting for grandpa to just straight out ask Kyle: "So, when are you planning to make my granddaughter an honest woman??" Haha. Gramps is cool. Thanks Kyle!!
Kyle, the foundations series cyberbeast comes with the required gateway for the PowerShare feature and a $4000 install credit as well I believe. At that point the cyberbeast is now a 9 powerwall battery back up system. That seems to me like an incredibly valuable feature that not many people are talking about. Congratulations and great video.
But only if they approve you to be eligible lol. Should be $4,000 credit towards supercharging and let you keep the PowerShare if you aren’t eligible. Or at least just the money towards charging.
The portable power features are a very big deal for many users. I think, in the long term, it will be a significant factor in resale value, as people increasingly realize how it works and how well it works.
The best part about the Florida license plate is that it is only a license plate and not license plates. You don´t have to worry about Colorado cops giving you a $100 ticket for not displaying a front license plate with this truck. How cool is that?
Awesome. Loved to watch your channel grow Kyle. You deserve this success. You have put your heart and soul into this channel. Watch this one and Out of Spec Dave everyday. NOW COME OUT WITH SOME MERCH!!!! LOL
When I saw the CT in the Service Center a few months ago it really impressed me. The size of the tires and the look was very different than what you see in videos.
0:28 "is it ugly?" Granma: "I guess, yea." That answer came from the heart before she realised they actually bought that metal junk she went easy on them.
14:20 You can do a CLEAR wrap. It's basically what dealerships offer customers to protect paint against rock chips. But you can get the entire car wrapped with a clear wrap. Which would probably make the stainless finish pop with less finger prints
I ended up canceling the cybertruck. Since I would not be able to do a round trip from Laguna Beach to San Bernardino Mountains. It takes just over 120kwh on my friends f150 and the usable capacity of the cybertruck wont cut it. Along with limited practicality for racks and price. Especially compared to a F150 extended range or Silverado ev. I really want to see a f150 NACS vs EA race to vegas
So excited to have you test the Cybertruck out. Can't wait to see how it performs against everything out and everything coming out. Congrats on the new truck.
Congrats Kyle! I'm wondering how much vampire-drain it has when it sits out unplugged. Was waiting on a CT, but instead just grabbed an incredible deal on a lightly-used F150 Lightning Lariat. I'm still learning the Lightning (my first Ford), but one thing I like so far is almost no apparent vampire-drain at all. So unlike my Model S, it can stay unplugged in my driveway without concern. 🙂
Makes me sad . I had originally planned to trade in my M3P that I bought in 22 when it my cyber truck turn came . I put 20k down and took a low interest (2.9) loan for 66 months . I still owe 37k as when I bought it was at its most expensive ( 63k I remember correctly). According to Tesla it’s worth 23k now with 8k miles and great condition. I’ll delay my cyber truck till I pay off this car . Sell my early reservation or give it to a friend . But I’m not taking a 15k haircut on my M3P . Even if I went through with buy and tried to resell Tesla will come after me for the profit . Love the company but that resale clause would have made me happy as it could have wiped my M3P negative equity .
Suggest you get a circular polarizing filter add-on for your phone. It would let you cut the glare from the screen, for example. Not to mention improve color saturation when shooting through the window.
Thanks for explaining the purchase process. I was a little salty when you found the cyber truck. But that said. I don't have any referral points. So I guess I have to wait. Thank you for all the work you do. 🎉 Congratulations on getting the cyber beast
oh Foundation series is early version. Probably a good idea that it doesn't come with any full self driving. We're just used to driving long distance with it. That length of the dash, you can take an art portfolio which is like a flat briefcase for large artwork samples... you can put your stuff in it and keep it on the dash, get some use out of that space.
Definitely NOT a work truck like the Cyber truck will be. You won't see that Silverado electric truck being used by a real working man with a real work job. The CT is practical for contractors.
@@Knnnkncht I'm a contractor and know them, so... Stay tuned for when the CT gets through the early over paying buyers, because once this thing is priced like it's manufactured to be priced at, contractors will be all over it!
I got my Smart #1 Brabus early in October too, it came without Android Auto, Apple CarPlay or even a heated steering wheel. All have since arrived by OTA updates with lots more to come this month including a manual switch for battery heating, car wash mode auto & manual, valet mode, comfy access etc etc.😮
Congrats! We’ve had ours for a month, still can’t find the frunk button without hunting for it. The actual handover/delivery experience seems to vary widely depending on the Service Center. Ours was just like any other Tesla collection, no fanfare or fireworks, lol.
I love Alyssa's down-to-earth role and how she doesn't bow down to Kyle's controlling BS. He could even a shoe heel of humility. Smart buy, great content but sometimes he's hard to take.
Those fingerprints would drive me nuts! Always fun to watch Alyssa peeling the plastic. I’m almost three years in to my Model Y and still haven’t pulled the plastic off my mirrors lol. If I ever run into you guys at a Supercharger, Alyssa I’m saving them for you! :D
6:31 LMAO, WHAT? I once thought my Kona EV's 64 kWh battery was massive because it let me travel 280 miles on a single charge. Then, I switched to a Model Y with its 80 kWh battery and thought, 'This is a significant leap.' And now, here I am, learning that the Silverado's smaller battery is 180 kWh, and the larger one is a whopping 230 kWh. LMAO, WHAT? I seriously wish Tesla would bump up the Model 3/Y batteries to a usable 90 kWh capacity. That would be more than sufficient. Comparatively, the Cybertruck's 123 kWh battery now seems minuscule, lol.
Kyle's trying to stay positive but faces misalignments, wavy windshield, unwashable steel panels, weird steering wheel and clunky parts. "Novelty car", Alissa said it best.
If Alyssa is into peeling plastic, she should buy a Husky brand cabinet. Every panel was completely covered in plastic edge to edge. There was so much to take off the first one I just left it on the second one.
I have to call BULLSHIT on this scheme by Tesla! What a way to screw people over who have been patiently waiting for their vehicle. And yes, I have one on order.
