That would give a call of duty villain to justifying create Cordis Die decades later and as the world gotten worse, his organization would become a anonymous and occupy Wall Street times with western socialists and many antifa groups times 100 or so. Maybe a fan base of almost a billion people or more so.
@@doubleoyimmy1572 Yeah was gunna say, just the other day I saw an article, apparently some republicans are running on the idea as an alternative to wars in the mideast.
i mean the US Gov is a latge ponderous beast whos policies often work at cross purposes with one and other. well the DEA make efforts to destroy drug fileds etc the CIA arm and fund or armed and funded orginisations tied to the drug trade
i really love your videos man. the detail you go in, the atmosphere you set, the music you choose. i absolutely love it. for your vids i usually sit down and have a meal to it, to really enjoy it like a series. keep it up man!
I never understood why they invaded they should have just put a dictadorship like they did in real life In my country there was a war that lasted from the 70s to the 90s they called it central america's vietnam And it sure looked like it
Probably bc that already happened. Fool me once and all that. And also bc the American tactic of propping up “capitalist” dictators was very much a product of its time. The political climate has to be just right to pull something like that. Not to mention a lot of those dictatorships had no benefit for the states. The only ones that really got us anything were the banana republics, and I mean, there are more valuable things in that region than fruit.
It's funny that the US in this timeline essentially created a hispanidad movement. Just gotta throw in Spain and the Philippines, and the whole empire is back together again
I guess it’s meant to be a showcase of americas interventions in Panama and Grenada in the 80s and 90s on steriods, and what if it all went wrong again.
Just earned yourself a new subscriber. Weaning off from Halo for a bit to get invested in Cyberpunk again, and your lore videos have certainly helped! Thank you!
Great videos, I love them! "Southern American" and "South American" are not interchangeable terms. Countries like Peru or Colombia are on the continent of South America, "southern America" would widely be understood to refer to states like Florida, Mississippi etc. Thanks again for the videos, keep em coming!
@@nxxynx5039 which English speaking countries call the continent with Canada "Northern America" and the continent with Brazil "Southern America" in an official capacity?
@@all4chaos910 I live in the states, dude. I'm simply acknowledging how the United States has done its fair share of wrong. Vietnam, Afghanistan, all the assassination committed by the alphabet soup organizations. To be clear, i'm not bashing the military or the members of these organizations, i'm calling out the leaders. The government. The ones calling the shots and deciding how it all gets done.
@@all4chaos910 I live in the states, man. I'm just pointing out that our nation has done bad things, seemingly fairly often. It was meant jokingly. Im not trying to shit on the military, either, so I don't know where you're going with that part.
I just want to say that I started playing in 1988 when I bought the original release at my local game shop with some money I had leftover from Christmas and I absolutely love your lore videos. Sadly that original game was lost in a flood along with my Top Secret game box and contents as well as around 8,000 Beta and Revised edition magic cards and my Car Wars novels along with all of my original Car Wars game items. Thankfully I was at least able to save all of my first edition D&D set as it was in a lucky spot in the house in a different room on an upper floor and never even got wet so that is a small victory. Also as a side note, RU-vid is doing RU-vid things again so I had to re-subscribe to the channel yet again as it showed I wasn't subscribed. That is the 8th channel this week I was randomly unsubscribed from.
idk if there is more backstory as to how the American countries came together or not, it kinda ignores a lot of context of those countries in the 20th century to somehow make it work, i know that the Cyberpunk world deviates from the real world somewhere in between the late 80s and early 90s, but that makes the union between these countries even weirder. I am from Guatemala, the CIA made a coup in the 50s and put a U.S backed dictator up until the late 90s, from the 60s to 90s there was a civil war in here because of it (and for many other things, of course), so to say that my country, which in our timeline is nothing more than a lapdog of the U.S even to this day, went against the U.S and joined the other american countries is kinda... laughable, so is El Salvador doing it because they went through a U.S coup and backed dictatorship too. Honestly it is one of if not the only really weird lore bit that i have seen in the Cyberpunk universe, maybe there is an explanation to how it happened that i am missing or something, so if anyone that sees my comment and knows the answer please do explain.
the media never talked about dictators, not the media on the us, they dont know. it was probably written on surface level information, is still "realistic" if you dont know what goes on central america
@@WiseFish Ive always heard it pronounced without the U, I have also mostly heard Americans pronounce it. I just said it was interesting because ive never heard it before, totally valid to pronounce it with the u my friend
@@triskelion4101 you should hear someone from the deep south US say it. It sounds like a racial slur followed by the Spanish word for water. That one completely took me by surprise when someone was talking about the countries he had visited.
Awesome video, bad analysis of the Vietnam War, but i suspect its because the lore put into the setting by the creator. But at least it shows cause and effect
It would be amazing if cpdr added a dlc where we can play Johnny Sliverhand how he grew up and inlisted the the corpo war and how it made him into wat we see in the game ,i mean ive been playing alot of mass effect the legendary edition and i really enjoy how ur choices matter and carry on tho the trilogy ,i wish cdpr did that with cyderpunk and their sequels
Exactly this scenario is basically kinda playing out as we type except it's Russia invading it's neighbor with the whole world against them rather than the usa, it's actually kinda scary how prophetic it is.
Central and South America are too divided and corrupt and many are already US puppets who will cave to US pressure without them ever needing to use military force. So this isnt realistic.
@@jorgegustavo8329 last I checked it was Russia that walked into Ukraine demanding surrender fucking the're nation over for the foreseeable future so yeah all of this could have been avoided if Russia did not invade , you could argue that this is a proxy war by the USA vs Russia and you might actually have a point, but anybody with eyes to see and a functioning brain can see that this was an invasion by russia.
IDK but this guys sounds like Houndish from destiny 2? Jokes aside, US created a civil war in my country Guatemala decades ago, so the cyberpunk lore is somewhat true 🙃
@@FUnzzies1The USA already destabilized Latin America and invaded countries on false pretenses for economic reasons. This really isn't that far from reality.
Cant we get games that is other countries than the USA? its rather annoying. Fallout series is about USA wich is fine. But cyberpunk could been better if in an other world.
Wait really? Even in a world where technical literacy is far more common, people were still worried about y2k? Even computer engineers knew better than that in the 1990s
Before we get started? Its almost at 2 min and you havent started? Hard pass on this channel. Just do what we came here for, i already watched 2 ads so about 3 minutes just to see more cash grabs with a sponsor. F that
