@@deanthomas1900 was announced for last gen consoles but it evolved as time went through, the problem was not saying this. but you could tell by a few things tbh: graphics from early gameplays look with less grahics and probably a less denser world, also the least they recommend is ssd and last gen run on HDD, that should be a red flag for many. i do not see this game running on last gen unless they cut significantly in features.

They kept the console versions away from reviewers after “making news” by making it next-gen afterward, whilst taking in mostly last-gen dough - to only offer a flimsy apology days after release - is some pretty sketchy economic practices. I am now waiting til I get a PS5 to play this game, not last April, and not the initial release.

In critical reviewscales; 6 means barely average. 5 means bad. 4 means barely even playable. I doubt any games reviewed by critical reviewers since 2015 has ever gotten lower than 3. In their eyes.. 4 is as low as it can go.

This game was also announced almost a full year before the PS4 and Xbox One were announced. This disaster was the result of an almost 8 year development cycle. And if a game says PS4 on it, then my PS4 should be able to play it. I should not need to buy a PS5 to play a PS4 game. Consoles are not PCs.

You have to take into account that the overall story and gameplay is included. Although you can’t even do one of them lmao

Probably should have been 0/10. If the game freezes/hard locks your system or runs so slowly you feel sick, it's not playable. The bare minimum expectation was that the delays were to make the game playable on base consoles. Either pull it from stores for console release, delay it again until it's fully playable, then release it. Or if it's not possible to be playable on a base PS4/base Xbox One, put a disclaimer saying it's advisable to play on PS4 Pro/PS5/Xbox One X/Xbox Series X only.

@Malay Ghosh Yes it is awful, do not buy it. Save your money, wait a few months, get a next-gen console/PC, and then play it. I'm sure it will be amazing then, let your first experience be the best one.

The game is not horrific, talking from my expirence on Xbox one. The resolution dips yes but it's not that bad and it catches up quiet alright not saying it's absolutely gorgeous but it's okay. Frame rate I sit on 35fps solid and textures load decent ever rarely did I have to wait for them to load in and still t he load in was a couple secs. In short t he game is buggy but not horrific and will get patched. It is a very very very immersive game. Again this is my experience on an Xbox one S

@@zero11010 - a 4/10 is still pretty bad considering this was supposed to be a AAA experience from a huge developer, and all along they had been advertising that it was going to be on PS4 and Xbone. So for IGN to give this score is actually kind of shocking and sobering. I agree I probably would’ve given it a 2/10, but maybe they based the score against how well the PC version is by comparison.

I kinda get it. I wouldnt be surprised if its pretty much saying the game itself isn't actually bad...it's just...the game itself is bad lol. So premise etc etc isn't warranting of a 3 or below, but it's impossible to score it higher. Probably just to be fair, I guess considering they had played it on PC, but I get what you mean

Technically because the game will get better and it's most definitely playable who are not used to crazy high frame rates

Well yeah they are right tho , if they didnt delayed the game , it will perform worse than now. Its not like they take a delay for nothing.

Everyone was right, at least in principle. Nobody knew the state of the game pre-launch (except CDPR). The principle holds true - but perhaps another 6-12 months needed to be added to the delay.

If they would have said, we delayed the game, we are having issues with the base consoles. it would have been fine but they said it was running "great" on the consoles. They then didn't allow anyone to play or review the console version and denied reviewers even from showing PC footage of bugs. CDPR became EA just far worse, just disgusting that people defend them after this.
