This is a song made in Japan over 100 years ago. It was composed while looking at the once prosperous ruined castle. It sings about the fact that no matter how great our glory may be, it doesn't last long and things change. What kind of feelings did Hanako have when she sang this song?
Hey Chooms! Kiroshi Optics provides the following translation for the Song Lyrics: Flowery feast in spring high up in the castle Cups of sake were passed around Lit by the moonlight through the old pine branches Where is that old moonlight now? Encampment in autumn was white covered with frost A number of geese honked as they flew across the sky The moonlight shined on the swords thrusted upright into the ground Where is that old moonlight now? Now at midnight the moon is right above For whom does it shine like in the past? Nothing remains on the rampart but some ivy Nothing to hear but the rustle of pine branches in the storm Up in the sky the moon and the stars remain unchanged But in the earthly life, rises and falls come and go Does the moon hang there to reflect those changes? Ah! the midnight moon over the ruined castle
Headcanon Ghost in the Shell Easter egg: you look up at the top of a distant megabuilding and Motoko Kusanagi is watching the parade before activating her thermoptic camo. I kept anticipating some percussion because of the GITS opening theme sequence, haha.
I was hoping for a mission like that inside the game, replicate by us the players but CD project red screw the role play decisions mechanics miserably bruuhh
Cool, but GitS was set in 2029. It is entirely possible though that Cyberpunk is set in the same universe, since key historical elements of both is matching (USA did broke on several independent states while USSR still exists) and some versions ("children") of Motoko/Project 2501 can still hang around.
I swear... This song it's so good but sad at same time 🥺 I literally stopped because it was harder to go through it and listened for about a half an hour before trying to end the mission

@@RSProduxx try to put 荒城の月. It's based on a song from around 1900 according to Wikipedia, not sure what's different between the lyrics of the comemorative plaque at that castle (pic on Wikipedia) and the Dark Future megacorp vampire waifu rendition.
Thank you so much for ripping it out with just the vocals. Her voice is so mesmerizing I could sleep to it. I'm only posting a comment as it's worth my time to thank you profusely for uploading this as clean as it is.
On my first playthrough, as usual, I'm rushing. I didn't notice that there's an icon where V can lean and listen to Hanako singing Kojo no Tsuki. I did it on my second play through and calmly listening to Hanako. It make you feel like, even if you are in Night City, the City of The Future, the mystical element are there. Also, it gives the surroundings “the calm before the storm” kinda feeling. You can feel yourself alone in the middle of the over populate city.
Didnt even know there was supposed to be music, until i saw the option to listen at the balcony. Unfortunately, my game is bugged. Not alot of people have this issue either, so I can't find any help for it. Only thing Cyber told me to do was reinstall, which didn't work. I can't hear guitar music either.
The younger version of Hanako Arasaka in ttrpg that she look like a average teenage anime or normal person. In the newer version of her older self she become even scarier that she sang traditional song and she follow her father footstep of Saburo Arasaka like she is an Empress of the Arasaka Corporation with Samurai and Shinobi within the heart of the USA. Because I don't even know of what the fuck is going on with this family. What was yorinobu up to something, I saw info in wiki cyberpunk where he said that he use to help silverhand to send him information about his father plan and his brother are up to something to take over America like pearl Harbor and take over the state of corporation of independent company where they can use them as like shogun and power to take control in America.
Found the spot near the railing where I was stopped dead in my tracks by this song. I had to listen to the whole performance. As Kosh from Babylon 5 once said. "A moment of perfect beauty."
I know they are the villains, but it’s really hard for me to hate the Arasaka (except Yorinobu) ...especially after speaking with Takemura and sharing his point of view.
@@zakimake SPOILER Didn’t play all the endings, but I just can’t forgive him for trying to kill the only person who actually cared about him and allowed him to rejoin the family, Hanako.
@@Aranelyn she didn't care for him, she only wanted to save him so he can host his fathers engram. When u talk to her in embers she says she knows her place and that she cant be head of arasaka cuz they had all this planned since yorinobu came back. He found out he is supposed to be killed and his body will be given to his father who is old fart who can die anyday. He wanted to change arasaka for better and end his father reign of terror.
@@kwadrol4238 But wasn't she the one who reintroduced him to the family after he was exiled by Saburo? I don't know, I felt like they shared some kind of connection and he betrayed it, but that's the feel I got from my first playthrough. Not planning to play my second soon, but, when i'll do, surely I'm gonna looking deep into this relationship.
Honestly whole arasaka family story felt rly rushed and i feel like they they are side characters to the story like idk the girl i raced with had more screen time xd
Doing my third playthrough and just did this mission and she never sang. Might have been because I failed to be stealthy. Hope they didn't remove this for some reason, it's one of my favorite parts of the game.
A detail I wanted to see peoples opinions in. I'm both the street and the nomad paths we (if we chose to) end with a girl(rogue or panam) but in the corporate ending we despite what we choose end with no-one if you had to choose who would you choose to end with corpo V?
@@Kazuliski Oopss, I thought you're Pole that's why I wrote a comment in this language! Anyway, as Dallarian said, I meant I'd love to play the game on Ultra too, but I'm tied for Medium.
everyone says that Arasaka is evil, although I don't see anything evil in them. As long as they don't deal with cyber psychs, bandits, and everyone else.
Soulkiller and Mikoshi are about as evil as you can get. They're stockpiling human minds in digital form. That's fucking diabolical (as Billy Butcher would say lol)
@@user-xf1gt4fb1w Clearly you didn't pay attention to the lore. Arasaka isn't the problem because all the Megacorporations are the problem... Millitech, Biotechnika,... They're all destroying the world, people for profit. They're powerful and corrupt with no scruple. Things are so bad in the world that it's only a matter of time before the wold is over... Do they employ people? Of course. Evil people all over the world employ people even today. The cyberpunk genre is a critic of our society. What happens when a society loses any form of moral compass and ultimately loses its humanity. So yes, Arasaka is Evil just like everybody in this game, including V.
