Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: All 5 ENDINGS & How to Unlock Them 

Never thought i'd play a game where becoming a normal person is the most bad ending possible

the tower ending is like when dexter de shawn asked V if he/she wanted an exciting but short life or a boring but long and peaceful life. this ending, is the long life one.

The tower ending might be the harshest one in the game now. Yeah, V is alive, but lost almost everything in the process.

The Tower ending is really good albeit sad. You were the main character in this story. Basically a superhero in a sandbox of crime and punishment. And now you end up as one of the NPCs that you run by or accidentally run over with your car. Crazy.

I love how the tower ending reinforces the belief that there is a cure if you leave with the Nomads.

Man... CDRP just will not let V have any sort of happy ending huh

King of Wands is, in my opinion, the ending that is most fitting for a V that is chasing their legend. You and Johnny both should acknowledge the kindred spirit in Songbird and want at least someone to win their fight and earn their blaze of glory in the end- the bitter sweet thing though is seeing the Tower ending, and knowing that is what awaits Songbird. Song already lost her old life, and without her abilities will be a nobody with nothing in the middle of nowhere just like you were in the Tower, or even worse the Devil. Phantom Liberty does a fantastic job of illustrating just how fucked all parties are, and everyone is on a different side of the same coin; Alex, V, Johnny, Reed, Songbird- all with aspirations ambitions and creeds, dragged down to the dirt and beaten by Night City. Genuinely think the only good ending in the game is storming Mikoshi solo, and letting Johnny take over after you pave your legend. Johnny gets his second lease on life with open eyes, you got your legend, you hopefully touched everyone around you for the better; and Night City gets the fat middle finger on the way out.

I swear that nomad ending is probably the only somewhat good ending we get

I got Kings of Cups ending and it felt very bleak feel truly bad for reed and i thought to myself if there was a chance to save everyone. This is my first time watching all the endings and all i can think to myself is damn... this game is amazing. At some points i forgot i was playing the cyberpunk that released in a broken state, but i can't deny this was incredible. 9.5/10 CDPR fantastic job. Don't f-up the next game release plz

V is essentially Peter Parker in the world of cyberpunk, you start off normal then become amazing just for some crazy feat to happen and all of a sudden you’re robbed of everything just to end up in a worse position then where you started. It’s interesting to know the tower is likely the best ending for v considering a restart ultimately allows for cyberpunk two, it hurts watching her struggles in a world without having even the means to defend herself though.

That tower ending is so fucked…. That was my first ending and I’ve never been so crushed by a game in my life watching everything fall apart.

For me the best ending is the king of wands and then leave with the nomads. There's still hope to find a cure in the last 6 months with them and you dont lose all your romance, friends, money, house, powers... Idk, just my opinion

After seeing every possible ending and digging up some subtle details about Blue Eyes, and Alt, and wild cyberspace, I have a strong feeling this world is standing one step away from destruction anyway, and wise V is better focus on their relationship with people and enjoying the journey, everything else is meaningless and pointless.

The tower is the saddest ending ive seen

There are only 2 "good" endings The Sun and The Star. Temperance is neutral, while The Devil and the Tower are "Bad" Endings. Given how each ending is given the name of a Tarot card looking up their meanings give you an idea on what is good and bad relatively.

You gotta save songbird then rush arasaka tower with just you and Johnny. Johnny can go with alt, you’re still with Panam and you’re a living legend. I think that’s the true ending because who’s to say when you start business with mr blue eyes in project Orion you won’t find a cure?

Dude fuck Tower ending. V loses everyone and becomes a NPC. I’d rather die or go with Alt in to the black wall.

If you did wait with draw weapon until the end where you don't have other good choices than this and not early like this did on King of Wands Ending, it did take some shots before Reed will just sit down with legs behind, some replies appears from him and then dies. Only done this ending. Also it does appear later with a new mission "Unfinished sympathy".

I appreciate games having a lot of endings, usually for the playability factor. The "bad" endings are so telegraphed as the wrong choices that you end up playing one of the "good" endings over and over though. Cyberpunk... it weighs on you. (Even when you push through missions like Don't Fear the Reaper, the victory at the end feels hollow.) The missions leading up to the end are so different as well, it is absolutely a payoff to play them. Somewhat Damaged and The Killing Moon couldn't be more different, and they are both terrific to play.

The Tower ending is the mother of all reality checks. After seeing this, I think I will still always go with Blaze of Glory and the Nomads ending. Still hoping V get's his happy ending minus the disability.

Tower ending is mishandled ending. Yes, it suppose to be tragedy and "good" devil ending, but should I really belive that nobody called friends of V? Reed is spy and he could not takes V´s phone and informed his/her friends? I think that this worked better this way. Just imagine, V. finaly waked up in the room full of gifts, flowers, family ect. (depanding on players choices), but one friend is missing.

i cant believe this is how this game ends. we literally have like 13 endings now with the dlc and none of it is a happy ending. there is allways someone getting f*d by the story and most of the time its V. But still its one of the best games and story that i ever experienced especially after being released in a buggy mess of a game. I really want to see V and Johnny again in the next Game but i guess we will have a totally different cast if it ever comes out. I just feel so empty after knowing i can not cure my Character after all this time of playing and hoping that i will someday get an ending that makes me feel good.

I find it interesting how she lost the pendant, really showing that YES, she faded away. She faded away to nothingness, yet still alive. Either way, I really like this ending because at least for me, I wanted to see V as a fixer, since it was mentioned in a dialogue option. Like, imagine in a later game of the Cyberpunk series you get V giving you the sidegigs at Heywood or something, with the hidden face just like Mr Hands. Would be a nice little cameo and at least a satisfying ending, for once lol

I was not expecting that sudden transition from main character to NPC in The Tower ending

Honestly the only good part of the tower ending is misty is actually thriving. Judy was heartbreaking but understandable. Vik sold his soul to keep doing what he loves. V has a chance to build a peaceful life by working with Reed, build a family, live normal to a ripe old age and die in a timely manner (potentially)surrounded by loving friends and family.

I played Tower Ending as the first ending. Shit, it hit me hard. The Afterlife thought V would be dead by now due to the coma which made her an Afterlife legend, a factor which pleased me since it was always V's wish from the beginning of the story to achieve this. Of course, I hoped V would somehow survive and live out her life as a Night City legend, with his friends and ambition. It was nice to see how the world had evolved in 2079. Reed and Song really grew on you because they shared their lives with you, you always had to help decide their future in certain aspects. But that's the way the story is written, there is no "good" ending. Every ending involves losses and intentional choices with consequences, which is why the story couldn't have been written any better for the universe. By now I have played all the endings, and man, they all bring their own package of emotions. GJ CDPR, a story that goes to the heart!

I get the first ending and I’m so happy that I took this one. I really hoped for better ending with Judy but I forgot it’s Cyberpunk. There is no happy End. Never.

Got the tower ending. Mixed feelings about it. I just feel sad that everyone’s moved on, thought if I could cure myself I could let V run away with Panam. Sad that she won’t even attempt to talk to you. Does anyone know if it’s possible to try the other endings like the Arasaka raid knowing that it would fail so then after that, V would resort to the surgery?

The tower ending really put my quality of life & medical condition into perspective, while scaring the shit out of me in the process. I mean just a few weeks ago I blacked out & fell down some stairs, haven't told my GF or anyone. I black out often enough that I'm not allowed to drive or work, but this was the first time it happened while I was on a staircase. If my body ever gives out & I go comatose for months/years, I dunno if I'd want my GF to wait for me. I already feel like I put her through enough just by existing. Seeing Judy move on from V hurt more than I thought it would 'cause this could easily be me. As far as I'm concerned, V is saved when they send Songbird to space & leave Night City with the nomads. The reduced stress of not living in NC, as well as having partially dealt with the Relic bought V enough time for Songbird to figure something else out & make contact. V still has to spend 2 years in a coma, but does so surrounded by loved ones.

The tower ending does leave room for the sequel. V gets an offer to get his old life as a merc back but at the cost for working for the orion corporation.

Just so you know if you shoot Reed in the stomach instead he says an extra line before he dies.

In the end death or survival for 6 months as a merc will always be better than a restored life filled with emptiness

I hate that there isnt a point of no return when you're deciding between helping Song escape or helping Reed capture Song at Hansens place. Cos I accidently deleted the save i had there and am cant know what happens had i chosen differently

You know, I never would’ve thought if I would be disappointing the second time with cd project, red all of these and then suck and it left a hole in my gut not everyone has a dark personality. Some of us actually want a good ending a peaceful one.

The canon in my head is KIng of Cups + The Star if you romanced Judy or Panam, OR The Sun + giving back the body to V to see a really beautiful Johnny Silverhand closure.

After completing this ending I thought this is worst thing that could happen to V, but after 2 days I think Tower ending is actually the best ending out of all. We lost our friends, but turned out they're not that much of friends (except Vik, Misty and Reed). We lost Johnny and it was heartbreaking, but Johnny is actually not human in V's head, he is engramm, Alt could read his code back in Voodoo boys quest (means he doesn't have soul). And in all endings where Alt saves V's life, V loses her/his soul too (Alt said it herself). So, Tower ending is only ending where real human lives (V), loses power, but has opportunities (work with Reed+saved NUSA president, can just ask for millions of cash and live happy somewhere in Europe or NUSA, can ask to help his friend Vik to save him from Zetatech corruption) + bigger life expectancy than half of year.

someone confirms my theory , if in the pentacle ending reed says the matrix didnt take so mi so it cant save her, then what will happen to her on the moon in the king of the wands ending ?? wouldnt the matrix cant help her there as well? so we sent her with our only cure to die on the moon ? i think these multiple ending give one big picture to canonize one of them or gives you the idea of what the best and worst ending possible.

I wish there was a save point in Phantom Liberty to be able to play all endings without having to choose only one.

The Tower ending although being a bad one and factually the hardest reality check, literally broke me down entirely. Everyone has their problems and often the Doc as is VIk in the game, becomes a very close and endearing person to us. Not only for the knowledge but support through whatever typa battle of hell someone may be going through. It also breaks hearts knowing the Doc always wishes to heal and save everyone, although, sometimes meets with failures or no other choice. Some of it, I am already used to, however lines like - "You need to believe and continue to fight" , "Look at me, I still do what I love", "Maybe I can become a Fixer..", The weak encounter in the bad area with you standing no chance, The people you care about taking another chapter - Where you're just a string close of being completely alone, The pride in peoples eyes when you show that you've pushed through in a scenario that most often leads to tragedy. All of these line and more are very near to me and broke me down so hard, I could not control my emotions. Regardless of how it feels, sometimes you can't have normal, even though you see a resonance of it almost every day.

After seeing all these endings, I wish there was a going out in a blaze of glory ending. V dying in a huge firefight and in the end credits everyone saying how sorry they are that you are gone and then moving on with their lives.

I got the tower and king of swords as soon as so mi confessed at orbital air about the cure i dropped her arse off to reed and didn’t look back.

The king of wands ending is beautiful and definitely the ending most V's would've chosen, siding with someone who truly understand what you're going through, but honestly I think the King of cups ending is the best ending both story/writing wise and gameplay wise, I loved watching that ending play out, and I love how bitersweet it is, I think songbird deserves to be free, but night city doesn't always have good endings, so I would definitely take that ending as the cannon ending. The tower ending was just so fuckign depressing, I hate what it made me feel, the writers of that ending definitely took notes from scorsese's The irishman, cause both endings left me with the same fears about life.

Funnily enough with the Tower ending, technically a cyberdeck is not a combat implant. V could, if they so chose, take up the life of a netrunner and setting themselves up with support chrome for protection and better netrunning support, settle themselves down in a nice cyberden of their own with automated security, maybe a few goons, and pursue becoming a legend through netrunning as it doesnt rely on combat implants, which is what they specifically cannot use.

Now that i have seen this ending, i sure as hell won't ever do the Tower one. I can't lose Judy. I think i'll just stick to the Aldecado ending leaving with Panam and Judy by my side. That's always been my go-to ending every single playthrough i do.

If you have a better bond with Johny, the convo between him and V is actually so touching, honest and sad. Johny being at terms with his fate, wishing V good

Might be that tower ending is the canon ending if they plan to make V the protagonist again if a sequel comes out. So that we as the player start from scratch too.

Just finished with the King of Wands ending and felt kinda down thinking i had lost the new “good” ending for V. But really unsure how or what to feel rn

SPOILERS: I got king of cups ending, I feel like I did everything Reed asked me to do and ended up with him disliking me or thinking I'm a failed agent. Jonny seemed happiest with me so that's a plus I thought this would end the game.. now im just felt feeling empy like.. do I complete the game for the first time the normal way now? Fuck I just feel like I got a bad ending.

Throughout the entire story I never once trusted Reed or Songbird. I drilled it into my mind that they’re secret agents and are in that field because they’re master manipulators so everything I was fed by them I took it with a grain of salt. I just kept telling myself to just go with their plans to get to the cure. I mostly followed Songbird’s plans, but if I ever sniffed out any hint of betrayal I’d switch sides, same thing if I went with Reed. I went along with Songbird since I thought she’d be the best shot, Alt Cunningham was needed for any chance to get cured because she was the best netrunner NC had and made Soulkiller, so I just thought the next best thing to do that is to have the best netrunner in the country possibly, who has thorough research on the neural matrix. Reed’s promises weren’t all too enticing, even if the NUSA did have the best surgeons, you’d still need an elite of the elite netrunner to be co-operative. Felt like all of the touchy stuff that Reed and Songbird let out were ways to manipulate me into fully joining their side, and after watching the Songbird betrayal ending I was pretty much right. I followed through Songbird’s plan, but once she revealed to me on the train headed towards the ship that it’s only a one use thing I gave her up to Reed. My number one priority was the cure so I concluded it’d be better if I gave her up, make a deal with the NUSA, hope that Songbird is willing to cooperate or forced to abide by the NUSA to cure me instead, and hopefully have their promised surgeons and the neural matrix prepped for me rather than giving it away to Songbird. As I said, I didn’t prefer this route but I had no choice, it was either that or completely giving away the neural matrix. My preferred plan was that I’d be on good terms with Songbird, leading her to cooperating with me to use the neural matrix for me, even if it is a one use thing. Didn’t feel bad at all betraying her, she was counting on me feeling sorry for her and hoping to ignore the betrayal and lies that came before. I was pretty much dead on about her trying to manipulate me on her good side to help her and hope that I’d feel sorry enough to give up the neural matrix. I kinda did suspect this “cure” had a catch to it like anything, and I wasn’t all too surprised about the one use thing reveal. The entire time I was trying to manipulate Songbird to get on her good side so she’d be more than willing to help me even if it comes at the cost of hers. My priority is the cure and getting V back home to Panam. I genuinely think if there ever was a cure for the Relic (I’m pretty sure there isn’t) this’d be the most realistic and rational route of choices to make.

Do you have to create a new save to try the other endings.

The Tower is associated to danger, crisis, sudden change and most importently a Great Fall. The tower is the true Bad End King of wands and The Sun combo is the only end we at least still have hope and thats all you can really hope for from a "happy" ending in any Cyberpunk story

I hate how CP writers try to lecture you which ending is bad and which is good. It is hypocritical and you cannot roleplay the way you want because you are getting this lecture on why what you did is bad if it did not conform to writer´s vision on what ending should be. For example I have done the Arasaka ending in original game only for writers to go like "ehhehehheheh trolled you cannot be saved you pos. DO NOT TRUST THE CORPOS OLOLOLOLOOL" which made me feel very angry. Phantom Liberty continues this trend in trying to box you into choosing what developers wanted you to chose by making other options either lame or so destructive that you do not want to chose them. From writing standpoint ticking timebomb/main character is dying is such a lazy storytelling device and it shows you how whole game was written. They needed to shoehorn in Keanu Reeves so bad that they fucked the whole RPG aspect of the game.

The Tower Ending is just a big equivalent exchange... you got what you wanted, but in the end you gave up everything you had to make it happen. Years of your time, your chrome, even most of the people who knew you thought to move on without you. And most of all, your want to become an NC Legend. All to end up as a faceless nobody that'll fade into obscurity, if the Relic didn't kill you, some random chrome junkie would be capable of doing that and more leaving you rotting behind a dumpster at the back of some 2 star dive while your corpse sucks up the rancid scents of piss and shit. And in the end, you can only think to yourself... was it worth it?

So if I complete King of Wands can I still continue to do the secret ending with taking on Arasaka?

Holy shit, i chose to send her to moon, because i know what they will do to KEEP their WMD. they will go about it in a Mass Effect Overlord style. She will be combonent in a computer which well eat her last memories and be full torture every fucking day. Also that fucking hero complex of Reed, best thing to do for him was to kill him. Also this way you save two people who actually want to live (alex and maybe Songbird). Most importantly you cannot ally your self with myers, She is on same level as Saburo. Both need to be beheaded and burned alive just to be sure they gone. Also where the fuck are JACOB AND TAYLOR. I saved them, and reed sent text that "they have been taked care of". Just some weapon to hand over someone for eternity of turture, nah choom aint no way.

I thought for a long time. Seriously for straight 3 fuckin' hours its just which ending is better. And its helping so mi asf. You are a good person and Johnny literally completes you. He is literally a mentor in your head. Everything he says has a point if you think about it. And when you end the game, you live your last moments with Judy or Panam or you blew the fuck out of Arasaka with Johnny. You die as a legend. Live as a legend. Thats the truth.

I really don't want to leave So Mi at her state and used as a weapon by Myers again, but at the sametime I hate myself that I have to end Reed, he's just too loyal to his principal and couldn't have changed anyway 😢 Fuck man. That's how it works in real life too, some people gain while others lost.

Sacrificing the cure to save Songbird made me give my own body to Johnny in (don't fear) the Reaper ending, we may want to become legends but even legend weighs jack shit against the lives of the people we love.

I don't think V would need any combat implants to become a pro. All they'd need is the right tools, and pure skill.

When I played the Witcher 3 I got the worst ending, and now the same, thank God I make better choise IRL xD

So the endings to video games such as the witcher 3 Cyberpunk and this DLC .. Are so good, There's such a mind, f***. It shows to the people who play them. What kind of a person they are. What sort of personality you have. What values you have in life, What's important to you. Do you give a f*** about the people around you? No, really? Do you?

The King of Wands ending feels incomplete. But there is additional "story" if you talk to Alex.

I somehow give her back to Reed but reject the cure since I still have little faith in Reed and I still haven’t romance Panam plus, I already told Dexter I want to go out as legend so yeah, I reject it because I want to get Don’t Fear The Reaper ending. So, You can say I got like “V stay single(Not virgin, You can ask those joytoys lol) but he choose to move on and still living his life while waiting to become legend some day.
