Cyberpunk 2077 The Disaster Movie Part 1 | A Review 

Some small tips. 1) You can turn your car lights on (you'd be surprised how many people don't know that) 2) The map as various filters you can turn on an off *again some don't seem to notice this* 3) You can knock someone down by shooting them until their health is low and then ending them with a leg or arm shot - knocking them to the floor then either leave them alive - or kill them when they are grounded for bonus XP So yeah you don't need non-lethal weapons to be non-lethal - just don't use explosive weapons or shoot people in the head 4) You can get someone out of their car by shooting the car (say the window frame) and they will bail out of the car immediately even if they otherwise refuse to get out 5) You can get a cat for your apartment (no really) 6) The Appartment, cars and bike are actually 3 distinct stash spaces (some people don't even know the bikes have a stash space) 7) You have a max amount of ammo - anything else crafted or picked up past that point will just disappear - very easy to have happen on sniper rifle & shotgun ammo - so sell it or stash it or keep your item in raw material state 8) Grenades have some hidden features (like sticky ability) that isn't obvious 9) The weapon wheel has multiple layers 10) As the game is a bit broken some armour mods don't stack properly - they seem to work better if you use a mix of tiers though 11) The stats the game tells you are sometimes - well wrong (such as movement speed) 12) If you visit a fixer's location on the map in person they unlock jobs in advance rather than you having to wait for a phone call to appear when you are in a mission location. 13) Some ripper docs have unique items or offer a discount - they usually require you to do something specific to access them - like not punch someone or find out their dirty little secrets. 14) Certain romance options are gender / body type specific & not available for others. I hope at least one of those tips is useful to someone.

Even without having bought into the ridiculous hype, or having listened to the bullshit coming out of CDPR during marketing, I think it's not too much to expect a studio to build on previous titles and refine the good things that worked. But nope, by any metric Cyberpunk is 1/3 the game the Witcher 3 is with a main story that's well written and that's it. Main story by the way that's shorter than the shorter DLC of Witcher 3. Currently Cyberpunk is just a glorified, over hyped looter shooter in a good looking game world that's a dead backdrop and nothing more.

I mean strictly speaking, the marketing guy didn't lie. He said it "ran surprisingly good" and if you think it's gonna overheat and make the ps4 go nuclear, it does run surprisingly good.

Oh I've been waiting for this one, got my snacks for this feature movie.

RE: MTX.......yeah, CDPR has been using them in GWENT for YEARS and made good cash with them. ALSO they apparently are considering them for CP2077's multiplayer. So maybe keep that in mind? Otherwise an EXCELLENT review, can't wait for Part 2!!! Edit: NVM, shoulda kept watching first, sorry, my bad.

As someone who bought the game at launch for a base line PS4......... I must have an exceptional tolerance for bugs and crashes. Thank you, Fallout: New Vegas, for this vital life skill.

Ah yes, there was absolutely no way CD Projekt Red could have fallen on its own sword after __+ years in development due to repeated delays and other redflags, but of course redditors keep playing the blind man and defending your purchase because “muh witcher 3” and “wholesome big chungus keanu reeves” is in it. Hey this is the best vid on this game I've seen. You are right on the money. I missed all the hype, cause I don't watch any gaming channels (I got served this vid cause I the algorithm has me looking for vids trying to find cyberpunk items/cars). I got about 40 hrs in on an old gen VCR Xbone, and it was fine, not sharp, not smooth, but it played even before any patch, and mine never crashed out of the ordinary or game braking bugs. I wondered what people were so so mad about (didn't know about the marketing). Got the series x a month after I started playing, 60fps is really nice, so yeah, its quality of life with good hardware, but was never really unplayable for me on old gen.

That's all I want from a RU-vidr, their honest opinion of the game. I personally really enjoyed the game even though there are issues with it. I just wish everyone was able to have the same experience I've had with it.

Too bad I literally couldn't finish this game after putting 55 hours into it, because the last quest didn't want to spawn some enemies I needed to kill, at which point I just uninstalled and never looked back.

Why does everyone keep making this same incorrect assumption about last gen consoles? The game runs equally well on PS4 Pro as it does on PS5. In fact, the PS5 is running the PS4 Pro version. It looks and runs identical, and some PS5 players report more crashes.

An exceptionally honest and thoughtful analysis of the game, not to mention the high-end industry of videogames. I for one subscribe to most of your points in the video. I have to admit that I belong to the same deeply cynical and doubtful wing of the gaming demographic as 21Kiloton. This being said and recognised as the likeliest reason why I like his analysis and review and why they very much appeal to me.. the guy's done his homework, unlike many who uncritically either slam the game or praise it to high heaven without much thought. Thank you 21Kiloton. Your video absolutely deserves more views! I also remain hopeful and want this game to succeed, just so that the rest of the industry will look like absolute tossers.. as if they already didn't!

Agreed! I checked every box for this game, and yes, I had a wonderful 90 hours going through one play though. I had over one thousand hours on Fallout 4, so yes my tolerance for bugs is over the roof. Only issue with the game is the voice actor of female V is not quite on point in terms of emotional consistency.

Before they patched it out, I discovered on a Reddit forum that the game did not use the logical threads of AMD CPU cores. I wonder if this explains why the physics in the game are out of wack. They must have ultra compressed the game to function on consoles. I would have thought that the game would have numerous and separate versions for different platforms. Feels like they used the same source code on all platforms.

I can't tell if you're shitting on the game or praising it... So in order to make this game "good" ( or let's say average ), you have to take it into another dimension and ignore all the facts leading up to its release, the marketing, the promises, and the fact that it was made by the same company that released Witcher 3 ( because I suppose in this dimension, Witcher 3 doesn't exist, and nobody knows about CDPR ). You know that's called "being delusional", right ? You're ignoring the reality to justify your opinion. I mean yeah, obviously you know it's delusional, but a lot of people seem to think exaclty like this to justify them liking the game.

Love to hear this guy and Jim Sterling debate whether CD Project Red is as bad as EA and Activision or not. Even just to hear them both saying "AAA game developer" over and over again.

Thanks a lot for this video 21Kiloton. Only watched 27 mins still but it's a very healthy way of looking at the whole thing. There is a thing I want to point out though. Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer was announced way before launch and apparently will be released a few years after the game in supposedly a standalone experience. They also mentioned that this multiplayer will have microtransactions and the multiplayer will be free for people who own the singleplayer game. What is true and what isn't, I wouldn't know. Of course, this was before launch so who knows what the plan is now. Figured I would point this out. Hope you're staying safe. Ps: The video isn't 77 mins. Lost opportunity. You only needed 1 min extra! Pps: I didn't like the clothing customization. It's very hard to keep track on what you want to keep and you can't easily figure out how a piece of clothing looks until you can try it on. The clothing shops are for some reason in a very MMORPG way cluttered across the map and you don't know what kind of clothing shop it will be. Punk clothes? Goth clothes? Cybergoth clothes? CyberCyber clothes? Who knows. I wasted a lot of time just driving around in the game.

In regards to the crafting times; on PC you can tweak crafting to be (almost) instant by going into the InputMapping files. Nexusmods has a few tweaks for it. It still doesn't really make sense that you can't bulk craft or that it wasn't instant in the first damn place... but heh... one minor annoyance avoided on PC.

My biggest gripe is that CP is not an RPG it is Pseudo-RPG at best. You have no control over the events you just react to stuff happening around and to your character. Passive protagonist V just rides the rails other people set up for him until the sad end. I actually liked the ending where V shoots himself in the head because you actually take control of your destinyfor once. Refusing to repeat the pointless cycle of violence that Silverhand wants you to repeat.

I had similar experience, I have completed the game twice on PC. Even before patch the current patch 1.06 as of the writing of this comment I have encountered minuscule amount of quest breaking bugs, moderate amount of graphics bugs (in 1.06 they started to get more noticeable in very late game) and had a ton of absolute fun, I seriously contemplated playing the gamer third time and had to restrain my self of doing so, my reason is I want to wait for the DLC to play the third time just for the new stuff. The writing was better than good on a lot of quests and a lot of them hit where it hurt, which is a win on my book. I dont care about cut content, with one exception, the removal of optical camo from the game but I can add it to the game via the console easily and too few prostitutes, I wanted more of them just out on principle.

Been looking forward to your review, Choom! I'm playing on PC. A decent PC at that. My Ways to Skin a Cat Gig is totally broken. When I jack into the pc, nothing happens. I can't unjack either. I can look around and even read emails. That's it though. Otherwise it's a bunch of minor bugs.

That Fallout comment is so true. I had a conversation with a friend before Christmas where I wanted to buy the game but couldn't at the time either in the PS Store or in a physical shop. I was telling my friend about my struggles and I said I don't care about the bugs, and almost in unison we both said If we can play fucking Fallout, we can play fucking anything.

Cyberpunk after the patches on a amazing on PC except for balancing of weapons and skills etc. there so many ways to become godlike that I pretty much have to handicap the crap out of myself to enjoy it. Such as no smart weapons and only tech shotguns for instance….if they would fix and balance that stuff I’d be a huge fan

As an emerging, very, very happy fan of your video's which somehow I didn't ever see pop up until recent weeks, I humbly ask of you sir, over in the U.K. I presume, of which I thoroughly enjoy the words used with the accent, which just gets my wife and me so much, lmao, that you do a review that's reasonable on Homefront 1 which is STILL NOT backwards compatible for XB1 Series S or X, but only playable on X-Box 360 & Homefront 2 - The Revolution, IF I've somehow missed that if you already made one. IF you could do that, at least for the 1st one, I'd like to hear your thoughts. I enjoy the campaign on it, although it's much more linear and shorter than the sequel but I cannot for the life of me understand at least 1 thing, why the f--k it's not playable on new gen consoles like 99% of all other older or slightly older games now. I was so looking forward to this video and I got what I expected! :) While I enjoy the game I’m also very disappointed. My game breaks on exit as well btw. Even have to separately sync the save file with the cloud. The problem (as usual) is that we’re paying full price for a half baked game. We might never experience it in a fully fixed way because even if they fix it in 1-2 years, we’ve already moved on to other games, maybe even more beautiful by then. One of ny biggest problem os that they also didn’t deliver on performance. I have a better system than what they recommend for 4k RT Ultra and if I use the advised presets, I’m not even getting stable 60FPS in 2k, not 4k. This takes me out of the game almost more than anything else.

The moment i noticed it didnt have car deformation or ragdoll physics like gta 5 did years earlier was the moment it was dead for me.

Through my own experiences playing this game (xbox one) I can only sum it up in two words...f@cking epic! Sure I've experienced some bugs here and there but nothing soul destroying. ...also, it was this channel that got me playing Kingdom Come Deliverance!

And despite all the bugs, lack of polish and absent features a few days after I finished the game (clocked nearly 200 hours at the end of the playthrough) I realized no other game (or book or movie) has gripped me the way this game did. No joke, it has become my favorite game ever. Then again New Vegas and VTMB are easily among my most loved games so maybe I've grown immune to some of the jank.

Problems aside I thought this was an epic game.

You should make this review series a trilogy and call it The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I also agree with your assessment of the games over all performance. I have an ancient i5 and a GTX1060 and (on an SSD) it runs perfectly fine on medium/custom settings, and is still surprisingly beautiful (or ugly depending on which suburb you are in) It's astonishingly well optimized for PC at least.

I actually love this game and haven’t stopped playing it since launch (even on Xbox one x). It combines bits of my favourite games (deus Ex, fallout, far cry 3+, gta)

Should have done a baldurs gate 3 style release... that game is early access but selling for full price on Steam - PC players could have effectively done the QA on this before they released on console. Have put 60 hours into the game and now I’m just bored... you soon realise how shallow the world is. A lot of potential here but it’s far from done

Great content, you might want to update it with current patch news. Also I've come to learn, that the disassemble is present on NEW versions of windows. As many people, I've had an old windows 10, installed 1-2 years ago, and I've only been installing updates as they com, but some video on youtuve told me to update to the current windows build as it was best for cyberpunk... I did, it took way too long, and was basically re-installing windows 10 on my PC, and from that point on, my game experience got seriously worse. I've put 100h in Cyberpunk with my previous windows and I never had a crash, barely any bugs, and most of all I could disassemble stuff without that annoying lag when it starts loading component list. Also load and save files would load instantly and every time. With the new Windows - suddenly, sometime when I click to load a game, or save a game - the list doesn't load for 4-5 seconds, which can be annoying. I've suddenly had several crashes in some locations (at one time, I couldn't start the beat on the brat quest with the animal chick - the game would crash before I entered the arena and once I even clipped under the arena and was unable to enter it). This never happened on my previous windows version, it only started happening after installing the current build of windows 10. Disassembly has a lag, loading / saving sometimes takes a few seconds to load (also now youtube movies sometimes take up to 5 seconds to just start after loading a new tab), the game started crashing. I did notice a few extra FPS, and it seemed to play faster, but I can't be sure, but I'm sad about the extra lag. Thankfully a few days later the 1.1 patch came and fixed the crashing, but the lag remains.
