@@jasperamvsvevo8813 Also one of the most influential people in history? This Emperor's death started the first world war... Not everything is a motherfucking Jojo reference
An interesting and subtle detail in the anime edited version. They completely cut out mentioning “burn this city”. Thus only leaving David to burn up as it gets to the part as the song goes “This fire is out of control, I’ll burn, I’ll burn (it) down” but the it is so quiet you can take it as “I’ll burn down”. Also the silhouette of the man that shoots David in the head, has the city background flashing rather then David’s character flashes.
Yeah, same here, I love how the being that puts the final bullet in David is not Adam Smasher, but the city that led him to this point. It gives the feeling that David would always die, if not from him burning up, then the city he tries to burn but fails to.
"Burn this city" is saved for V, as he'll do what David failed (This may be overinterpretation, but still, romantic way to look at this, and what I choose to believe)
@@VanDerWaden I agree, it’s a nice way to look at it. Also, v and David’s stories mirror each other’s. Both are about dreamers who seek to become legends, the main difference is that V is forcibly stopped with this flawed way of achieving that goal as the death sentence given to him by the Arasaka raid and tragedy along with betrayal that follow it. His story changes by the plot forcing him to stop and take a look at what his dream has gotten him. David meanwhile is actively encouraged by the story to burn himself up, unlike V the consequences given to him by the cyber implants are lessened due to his increased tolerance. And by the time he would have realized his flawed way of thinking, it was far too late. V burned down Arasaka, Arasaka burned David.
@@VanDerWaden Nope, David and V had the exact same influence on Night City as a whole. Absolutely none. Fuck, even Johnny's nuke didn't change anything.
2:05 I really don't know how to put it into words, but whatever the hell the guitar is doing here, it's the best part of the song. It sounds so frustrated and angry. I absolutely love it. It really sounds like pent up anger and frustration being released in the form of a monologue
Eyes burning the way through me Overwhelm, destroying so sweetly Now there is a fire within me A fire that burns This fire is out of control We're gonna to burn this city, burn this city This fire is out of control We're gonna to burn this city, burn this city This fire is out of control This fire is out of control This fire is out of control Eyes boring a way through me Paralyse, controlling completely Now there is a fire in me A fire that burns This fire is out of control I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city This fire is out of control We're gonna to burn this city, burn this city This fire is out of control Oh, how I burn for you Burn, oh, how I burn for you Burn, how I burn How I burn, oh, how I This fire is out of control I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city This fire is out of control I'm gonna to burn this city, burn this city This fire is out of control We're gonna to burn this city, burn this city This fire is out of control We're gonna to burn it, I'll burn it, I, I, I'll burn it down
you know what crazy? when i was a kid, i've been hearing this songs in my cousin phone. when i watch cyberpunk, i started to realized i've heard this songs before & the nostalgia and the goosebump i got from it damn.
Great detail in the actual intro: all mentions of "burn this city" are carefully edited out because Night City burns you. You can't make a spark big enough to burn it down. Ever.
I guess it's safe to say that this anime and Burnout 3 Takedown shared the same song, it really fits in really well for both anime and the game at the same time. What a insane timeline we're living right now.
The lyrics fit so well for CyberPunk: Edgerunners “This fire is out of control.” The fire being the corruption of Night City. “I’ll burn it down.” Burning the fire with more fire. A kid with nothing trying to make a name for himself in a world of corruption and greed by falling down that same path of corruption and greed. That was my interpretation of it.
Or the fact that he's literally burning himself out with every use of his implant cuz a human body reacting as fast as he does clearly has to be processing alot of heat.
For me the fire is more about the influrence of "Chrome" / "Tech" on the city. The slow transition into the cyberpsychosis, the fire fed by greed, yes, but still greed is just the accelerator.
@@MugenIkari yeah , I don't know why I found the process of cyber psychosis so interesting to me. I kinda want a season 2bbut from another character's perspective maybe from the perspective of lt colonel James Norris. Like, the show leads with him at the start to show the effects of cyber psychosis and establishes how the psychosis is presented through out the show. Glitching, duvision of the eyes, lack of any drive and being distant and then finally snapping once they go over the edge. Like I wanna know what lead to Norris being that and how he got the sandevistan
Always wanted to get into cyber punk, met this girl at work, she came over my house one day. One thing led to another and we we're dating for a month. She Left me on Sunday july 16, 2023. She had to move away because her dad couldnt afford the house anymore up here in RI. You struck a cord that not only got me over my most tramatic break up but gave me hope samantha. Only if i had a sandy to run away from the pain you caused me, it seems like im always running out of time with the right people, you were my lucy and i was your david. Stay adorable choom.
When I heard and saw the intro teased a while ago I didn't think it fit the show, man how I love being proven wrong. It really grew on my and I think it's perfect.

From racing downtown and taking out your opponents cars for boost....to futuristic mercenaries blasting the living shit outta everything in Night City. Thank you TRIGGER for unlocking my Burnout 3 childhood memory. 🙏
I find the most memorable stories to be like watching a train crash, you know exactly how it ended up this way and why it had to happen and you just keep watching until it stops, this theme perfectly highlights that
I’m surprised no one noticed how the story was going to end. The intro literally shows like how every anime does. David is shot by the towering figure which symbolizes the City being his grave.
My friends kept telling me to watch, I was very surprised to hear FF. Seems like Netflix really likes 2000's alt rock... I mean imagine dragons now this lol
its incredible how i didn't like it while watching the anime but loved it after, i guess cyberpunk is just built like that, no matter what you thought at first you will be in love with it after
I just saw the first episode and i did read that the anime had a good soundtrack i heard the ending song and right away i was like 'i recognize this.....i want to say Franz Ferdinand but like I'm not the biggest FF fan so i could be wrong' i ended up looking it up totally right i know what's up
YEEAAH!... GOOD INTRO FOR A GOOD ANIME SERIES!... WHEN I SAW THE SERIES AND HEARD THE SONG I RECOGNIZED THAT VOICE, IN THE CREDITS I CHECKED THAT IT WAS THE BAND...
