People who never played cyberpunk can enjoy this show but if you’ve put so many hours in the game it makes this show real special you start recognizing locations, music and sound effects you really are in that world again

Only if you knew how much they replay the “ I Really Want to Stay at Your House” song 🥲😂 the show made me fall in love with the soundtrack

I think it's also great to see this stark contrast between Lucy and David. David still having light in his eyes, and Lucy feels like hers was snuffed out by the city. And yet, Lucy is the one with an actual dream she wants to achieve. Going to the moon. It almost sounds ridiculous coming from someone that's been toughened by Night City. But then also, you can't fault her for wanting to go away as far as possible from the city. Great reaction! And the discussion at the end only makes me more excited to watch your reactions for future episodes.

Thing is, the dub "fits better" due to the whole culture of cyberpunk with the terminology used in the show such as nova, choom, n stuff like that. It falls better on egnlish tongue and the voicer actors are reaaally good

I'm still amazed that I am currently replaying the game because of this anime. I tried a sandevistan build and then watched the anime after it released, only to realize that I practically recreated David without knowing it :D

David is voiced by Zach Aguilar who I mainly know as one of the main characters in the English dubbed Genshin Impact game he streams a lot on RU-vid he also does a lot of game and anime dubs. Lucy is voiced by Emi Lo she is also from Genshin in a more minor role and does a lot of anime dub work.

I always watch anime in sub but this and dragon ball are my only exceptions. You could say both sub and dub of edgerunners are equally as good but what makes me prefer dub much more is that there are in game characters that have the same voice actors in the dub, the show is based in the us, its more natual as in everything around the show is in english, and if they are both equally as good ill just watch dub as i speak english and can recognize familiar voice actors that are in the show

Its nice to see someone whos actually played the game watch the show. People are trying to pretend the games still in beta. Its a great game. If you watch the show without having played the game you're missing out.

After all the times the moon is mentioned in game and in this show, there has to be something planned with it besides what we already know from a few of the games "endings" and I cant wait to find out.

I did the same I watched the English dub first then watch the Japanese cause I felt like I was paying to much attention to the subtitles and was missing stuff on the show by doing it.

Glad you decided on the dub. 1. There a a few eng voices from the game. (No spoilers) 2. There are some characters like tiger claws who still speak Japanese even in the dub, which is something you can't experience in the sub. 3. Because of (2) just like the game, it is implying that English is their native language anyways. So good on you for switching over and not watching the sub just for the sake of watching sub. The Japanese sub is still good though.

As someone who's very "Always watch Subs, Never bother with Dubs" I agree with the opinion here that the Dub works better for this show. The level of talent is a step above typical dubs and it fits with the world much better. I haven't even played the game which I'm told shares some voice cast members with the show, which is also an added bonus.

I cannot explain the feels I got from you being proud of CDPR. I have been huge CP2077 fan from day 1 and that made me tear up, you're so right.

Yeah, I think the dub for this is very good. Rebecca sounds more distinct and adorable in the dub than Japanese, I think. Don't kill me :D

The voice actors for David and Lucy steal the show; they are Zack Aguilar and Emi Lo respectively. They've been in more stuff recently, but Aguilar is more known for anime and games like NieR, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Demon Slayer. Lo has been in various anime, and the funny thing about her is she usually voices in a higher pitch, but does the opposite here very well. Also, the tone of this is pretty melancholic; reminds me of Cowboy Bebop a little bit, mixed with the profaneness of Black Lagoon. Both of those are highly recommended watches, especially the former if you're curious on more anime.

watching you reacting to this show is super pleasant because you GET IT, especially the contemporary nature of cyberpunk. I've been saying for years that the current era (post net 2.0 until the AI singularity) should be named the Cyberpunk era. A transitory period following the explosion of communication and computers where the world decays socially due to a failing economic system as a handful of individuals on Earth play Monopoly with all the money and power in the world due to the sudden possibility to do so with automation and AI. Due to this shifting technological paradigm we are in an ever more caricatural late stage capitalism, and as people get squeezed out of the system they grow increasingly anxious and unhinged but can't put the finger on the exact causes of their psychosocial anxiety as automation happens mostly unseen in barely maned industries. Damn, now I want to keep writing my cyberpunk novel I dropped years ago again.

You should do a reaction for the Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002) if you haven’t seen it yet. It is a must see if you like animals like rhinos and elephants. It shows you why we must protect them from poachers.

David got the implant and went to the class straight after the ripper doc. Hence the blood on the coat. He didn't rest. He didn't wait. He went straight from A to B. That alone is badass. Cyberpsychosis can affect anyone no matter the implants. However, the more you install, the easier it is to succumb to it. Lucy is mysterious at this point but she can be blunt and straight. So when she says something, listen. If something happens like at the end and she doesn't get directly involved, then she's debating with herself or she doesn't agree. 👍 Also, keep an eye out for locations. You might recognise some in the future
