The west side parking lot is getting full again with Cybertrucks. Seem for sure that there is no Model Ys production on the weekends. Very busy at the south end extension with concrete being smoothed out. Doesn't seem to be any drilling today with The Boring Company.

Locations of the chiller framework, and other supporting brackets etc. Some saddles located. Apron. Large black pipes. 6:47. Westside. Far west. Residential estate. Saddle Rock Drive. Works on the connection of the blue water main into the City supply. 2 parallel trenches were marked on the road. 13:41. Highway. Maintenance works. Squares of pavement demolished. 14:38. Casting, diagonal corner. Apron. Excavation. Can’t quite make out if that’s a trench shield, or shuttering for an in-situ vault construction. 14:59. Casting, east. Apron. 1:51 HDD boring rig... Guess that answers the question about what the new duct-bank @ 2:04 (Bottom right) is for. Likely entry point for fiber optic cables. There is another 2 conduit duct-bank further south on Joe's video 4/15/24 at the 21: 20 timestamp (Bottom right).

14:59. There are 3 'Baghouse' permits on the Travis County site; Casting 2. Baghouse foundations. Probably what we are looking at. Until it turns out to be something else entirely. CA-1 DCM4. Baghouse Explosion Protection. Must be an existing baghouse inside. Casting 1. DCM4 Baghouse retrofit FA. Same again. I would have thought Casting 1 was the south end of Casting. Casting 2 the north end. 'Casting 2 Baghouse foundations' seem to be outside Casting 1.

@@DessieDoolan 14:59 Could be installation of more "Explovent" blast doors that automatically open to relieve pressure in an explosion, then close once pressure is at a safe level.. Like the ones on top of the paint shop bunker.

Thanks for some of your original signature shots. I've had an _interesting_ time recently and nice to zone-in to my favourite building-site/factory with a nice bit of electric guitar. Sometimes the best and worst times seem to arrive together. The light usually wins out.

Regarding the catch(?) basins on top of the mystery bldg at 6:34, you can see almost exactly the same construction on top of a utility building at the Samsung Taylor plant under construction. See the Airwave Dynamics video from yesterday at 9:44 At Samsung there is a massive pipe bridge entering underneath that is connecting with nearby Air Separation Units and another building. Maybe for chilled water or the like. If that will also materialize at GT then we should see some concrete footings soon. In general it is good practice to keep utility piping above grade such that drains can be fitted at low points and vents can be fitted at high points for operational- and maintenance-activities. Unlike the piping between Cathode and Die Shop that went under the road, there appears no such restriction in the SE corner area with the main circular road not in the way.

Hi HarderNL. I looked at the Airwave video. Yes, seems almost identical. At GT the connection from the Chiller Platform to the Southend extension will be interesting to watch. I don't understand why there was an underground connection between the Die Shop and Cathode platform. Might be the same reasoning at the Southend. Recent sanitary sewer works were at unexpected depth. Maybe planning the route over those. Edit. Also possibly need to consider there might not be enough clearance under the transmission lines for a pipe bridge. Pipe bridge might need clearance under for vehicle traffic, and clearance over because of the powerlines. May only be a small height 'window' available for a pipe bridge. Good to see mounting brackets, saddles etc already being installed in the basins/moats/spill control structure.

Basins.... My first thought was what do they need to contain? Then realized... Don't they use Ethelene glycol as anti-freeze in the chiller systems?

@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn Correct, it is also in my car and keeps the window cleaning spay going till -18C. We have to make a difference though between the chiller units themselves, which are closed loop expansion/compression cycles (the official name is Carnot cycle) and the circulating coolant loop. If the latter is circulating below 0C then a water/glycol mixture may be applied, but I have no knowledge about commercial coolants which may be optimized for specific temperature ranges and other aspects such as anti-degradation, fouling, viscosity etc. Your second comment about willfully putting parts of an industrial-size cooling loop below grade has also some aspects that are worth mentioning. If, for instance, the piping of such a large circulating system is made of regular iron then there is always an issue with fouling and corrosion taking place. And where does that fouling accumulate? Typically in dead ends (creating even more corrosion) and places with low flow speed and/or low elevations. So a pipe underground is asking for trouble, honestly. Alternatives like stainless steel or plastics are either too expensive or not reliable enough under pressure so in most applications you end up with an anti-foulant injection, filtration units etc. You may recall that earlier cooling systems were cleaned (and passivated) with mobile pumps and filtration units for quite some time. There is just no two ways about it, large cooling systems are a bitch to keep in prime condition. I haven't mentioned seawater cooling systems, that is the ultimate challenge for utility engineers, take my word for it. Is the Lithium refinery going to be dependent on brackish water for cooling? Then they are in for a rude awakening when it comes to cooling.

@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn The Cooling Platform isn't particularly pleasing to the eye either. If there is an available 'height window' for a pipe bridge, it would likely be to the north a little past the full height glazed walls. Cooling Platform is located where it is because that's where it fits between the easements, not necessarily placed in the ideal location. Next best free location would be in the area occupied by the pond.

South expansion: @ 0:34 Bollards seen through the glass on the second level, first noticed by Dessie. @ 1:29 Concrete pour on the unusual sloped floor. @ 2:04 Two conduit duct-bank coming out from the building. First thought was it might be for fiber optic cables, but then it is encased in red concrete. Question for the electrical/data center experts.... Medium voltage cables? Or fiber optic cables? @ 2:27 (Bottom left) HDD bore excavation appears to be filled in. Brad.... Any chance we could get a view about 300 to 400 feet to the south? It would be great to see where the orange conduits (often used for fiber optic cables) are going. Thanks. Parking garage: @ 5:10 Concrete needed on all floors below the top floor in this part of the building. River road: @ 6:10 Ongoing work to fill in the southwest end of the pond. Cooling structure: @ 6:38 Ongoing work. Large black pipes on the westside, on the ground. EOL facility: @ 6:47 and 12:47 Connecting the water main to the city water supply. @ 10:37 Lift station closed up. Curious to know where the high pressure discharge will end up? New power supply to the factory: Northside of casting: @ 14:37 Box in the excavation appears more like a trench box than the expected vault. Also, duct-bank on the right so far, has 4 missing conduits. There should be 12 conduits, and there are spacers for 12 conduits.
