Hi. I would like to purchase cybex zi fix plus, but I have one concern. It means that the car seat shakes back and forth even after installation because there is no top tether anchor. Because of that, I am concerned about the safety of rear collisions. Is there a particular reason why the top tether anchor is not installed on the Cybex zi fix plus?

Is it possible to remove the backrest and use this as a booster seat? My daughter is now 9 and she's almost outgrowing the seat.

Hey! CYBEX Solution car seats can only be used with the backrest. This is the only way to offer maximum safety for your child. The use of a CYBEX Solution without the backrest is not approved. When compared to seats with a backrest, booster seats do pose a higher risk of injury. The main problem is the missing side protection. A child seat with a backrest has side protectors that prevent the child from hitting the window in the case of a side impact collision for example. With a booster seat, however, the vulnerable parts of the child's body are not sufficiently protected. Additionally, the routing of the seat belt cannot be adjusted to the height of the child so that the belt is often too close to the neck. Due to the compact design of a car seat with a backrest, the child not only sits much firmer in the seat itself but is also much better protected due to the correct position of the seat belt. In order to assure the safety of your child, we highly recommend using the seat as above/until your daughter is 150 cm in height.

I confuse between choose Solution Z i-fix Plus or Solution Z Fix PLus ? the Z Fix Plus is cheaper, but what is the difference with more letter "i" on Z i-fit plus ?

Hi Rangga! Thanks for getting in touch. Essentially, the Solution Z-Fix and the Solution Z i-Fix differ by their approval standard. The Solution Z-Fix is a (semi-) universal seat because it is approved according to the UN R44 / 04 standard. The new Solution Z i-Fix is what is called a Specific Vehicle Booster seat. This seating category is in accordance with the UN R129 / 03 standard. It complies with stricter side impact tests. Hope this helps :) Let us know if you need anything else. Hi cybex! Great car seat, we love it and hope to keep it for a long time. Is there any chance you could post a tutorial video how to put the summer cover on the seat? I swear it is 10x harder to put on the summer cover than to install the seat itself - four pieces of fabric, three of which look the same, no instructions to speak of. Thank you!

Hi Even though I tighten the seatbelt max My seat still moves and does not fell safe. How do you recommend the without isofix performance? Does they have the same ADAC result, I mean with and without Isofix tests? Thank you

Hi, thanks for your message. The ISOFIX Connect system like the one used with the CYBEX Solution Z-fix only stabilizes the car seat and supports the installation. Only by securing the car seat with the 3-point vehicle belt can you ensure that the child and the car seat are properly restrained and held back in an accident situation. The car seat will always have a certain degree of movement (even when it is attached to the ISOFIX anchorage points). This may give rise to the false impression that the seat is not firmly attached to the vehicle. When installed correctly, the belted Solution Z-Fix without ISOFIX connectors is in direct connection with the car and is able to counter the impact forces in a collision. Hi Carmen! The only difference is the fabric. Both the Comfort and the Plus Collection consists of a unique combination of two fabrics. Both collections have a robust and stain-resistant two-tone jacquard-fabric on the outside of the seat. On the inner part of the car seat the Comfort and the Plus collections have different fabrics. The Comfort fabric is soft and comfortable, while the Plus fabric is more robust and resistant. This makes the Plus fabric a higher quality product overall. interesting profile of the seat itself, on which the child sits is like the reverse letter V, I have the impression that a child who likes to move forward a little bit or a child 8 or more years could come forward from the seat, especially when the car brakes. Yes, there is a seat belt, but I know of other seats whose seat ends more below the knees than this one and could be more comfortable. If anyone has experience with larger (eg 8+) baby on this seat please feel free to write about, thank you.

I just found out after buying and using this car seat that you can't get a cup holder for the US model. I only found out after trying to find out where I could purchase it from from the company. It should say so on this video as the cup holder was actually a deciding factor for us, and now we are stuck with this seat as you can't return a used car seat.

@@cybexglobal I purchased one. I'm in Delaware. I contacted your customer support about where to buy a cup holder. They are the ones that said your US model doesn't have one. So I don't understand what's going on.

FYI- this seat in the US does NOT include a cup holder and cybex advised in a very short and not so friendly email that there is NO cup holder available for US versions. Guessing someone decided that American children don’t have beverages during car rides? Weird to not even provide the option. The seat is very nice overall and feels sturdy however arm rests are very low- dont seem like they will be functional as the child grows taller.

Hi. Once the side impacts are on, can I remove them? I have two of these seats and they block the middle seat of our car...if we were able to remove the side impact facing the inside of the car, it would make it more functional for us.

Hi Qasim! You can remove the LSP on the inside by simply pushing it up towards the top of the seat and then pulling out.

Hello, You should do a demo video with a real car to have a little fun! It is immediately less easy to install! The seat I ordered arrived in two parts and without any instructions for assembly! Bonjour, Vous devriez faire une vidéo de démonstration avec une vraie voiture pour qu'on rigole un peu ! C'est tout de suite moins facile à installer ! Le siège que j'ai commandé est arrivé en deux parties et sans aucun mode d'emploi pour le montage !
