I had a B-School interview at Vivanta by Taj hotel at Mumbai. After the interview we were offered a range of crackers/biscuit with a wide option of tea/coffee/juices. I just had a sip of tea and I realised this isn't my cup of tea 😜 While leaving from the hotel, my mom and I spotted a similar Idli Anna on cycle next to the hotel and we rushed to it (we were crazy hungry). We had one of the yummiest idlis ever there and while chatting I mentioned I was here for the interview. The idli seller did not take any money and said "Bhagwaan kare aapka interview safal ho jaye, hum isi me bahot khush honge". We were really shocked and grateful. These poor vendors have the richest hearts ❤💞 By the way, great video Veggie Paaji 😍
Dear Tanmay - Today’s Vlog was arguably the best of your Mumbai series . The beauty of the Vlog is that not only you articulate the taste profile of every dish you tasted but you also drew comparisons with the .. say Vada Pav that you had in Navi Mumbai or comparison of the Piyush in terms of tartness profile ( which makes a huge difference) between Samarth and the one in Dadar . The way you interact with the vendors with such humility and also motivate them . In fact you felt the Vada Pav a tad bland because the chef had not put sufficient quantum of chutney & Ghati Masala . You could have requested for some extra chutney .! The highlight for me was Charles Anna .. Fab interaction and trust me you are right ., it’s a staple breakfast for most of the Mumbaikars .. A huge shout to your friend for taking you around Mumbai to all the places ! This season of Mumbai ki Gardi was the best !! Being a Mumbaikar I loved each and every episode and would definitely love to host you in Mumbai when you plan your next visit in 2022 ! Finally Paaji, maan gaye!!! 😊 The street side Anna ka Idli Vada is the third best thing after Vada Pav & Pav Bhaji in Mumbai! Absolutely love it❣️🤤🤤🤤 It was my go to breakfast office time pe, every day for more than 2years before the lockdown ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊 Lots of love from Mumbai❤️😊 PS: Please note it is Medu Vada not mendu(brain in Marathi)😅
Staying in Jogeshwari and know Anna since many years, have been eating his delicious idlis and medu vada , once and sometimes twice in a week for decades....💙 My family loves it 🤩 Thankyou

When I was working in Navi Mumbai just outside my office some SI guy used to serve hot idlis with lip-smacking chutneys red and coconut along with HOT sambar and alternatively my team used to HOG the BF there. Their specialty is Zyada banao Sabko khilao and it gets finished very soon. And these idlis on cycle I have been seeing since my school days. These are fresh ready-made food.

If you are in Jogeshwari, you have to try these idlis and dosas by Charles Anna. This man is a legend in Jogeshwari East . I have had idli dosas in many places but nothing came even close to what Anna offers. The same taste since 2000 , since I was kid. And we get to hear that lovely horn honking on Sunday mornings. Those idlis feel like munching on clouds, ever so soft and that chutney is heavenly. Bliss. (^_^)(~_~)
