@@rctopfueler2841 Not really, I was thinking more along the lines of pure fun and a motor sport which reflects driver skill and ability, rather than mechanical advantage being the prime decider.
@@Wheels-Wheels-WheelsLeave it to someone to come ruin it just like kart racing I know a guy who raced as a kid he said it got toxic even people beating each other with helmets and other foul behavior.
Just came across this video through the wonders of the RU-vid algorithm. I'm a very active motorcycle rider (on & offtoad) but this looks like a lot of fun too ! I have put it on my bucketlist !
I love how the camera somehow avoided getting completely covered in mud through that whole race. *the algorithm decided we should all see this today... and it was right. *
I remember wanting to build a car just like this out of scrounged scrapyard bits as a kid! Shame I never got any further than drawing comics about the races.
The simplicity is brilliant. This is motors racing for the masses as it should be. I also love the stick on dials. More please (but no glass lenses on sunglasses).
Been racing small engines all my life this looks like a hoot. How would you boys feel about racing against a lawn mower? I'm all over the west coast, with bikes, mowers, go carts, and 1/4 midgets. I hope you and yours are warm and happy, have fun.
what you mean Real Racing ? its like lawn mower racing with girls bicycle tires and courtesy rules about passing ,what you guys running there the predator 212? or maybe a honda 7hp off a pressure washer? im suprised there wasnt a tea time break half way thru lol
This what I imagine the cars of the future will look like: small, lightweight, and low to the ground. Better for fuel efficiency, safer for other more vulnerable road users.
There is the one day they have a fatal crash where one cycle kart goes airborne and flips then lands upside down on top of another cycle kart and both cycle karts are engulfed in a gigantic fireball because they do not have roll cages.
Where does this kind of racing take place and what kind of engines do they use? Looks like a lot of fun to watch and participate in. Average cost of one of these?
Never heard of this sport before but it looks really fun! Dirt, engines and it's probably a small sport consisting of enthusiasts. What's not to love about it?
@allenbass4714 Thank you, I have discovered cyclekarting recently, thanks to your video. The idea seems awesome . How difficult in your opinion was this build? Are you running the Honda GX200?
Looks like a blast! You're racing line is off though. You take the inside too early making you lose your momentum by the time you exit the corner. Try cutting in about 2/3 through the corner.
We seem to be doing it on kart circuits in the UK but this rough track racing looks more fun to me; my design is still drifting around in my thoughts but I think it will be on paper soon as it looks so much fun.
My car is a 1934 Maserati 2.9L GP look alike. They didn't have fenders on the original car. Fenders would have to be reinforced really well and would add more weight and the mud would build up really quick.
