Very enjoyable and recognisable! For me starting from the Netherlands and a very long time ago, like in 1984 😀 But the cycling through the Belgian countryside with some gems and surprises along the way and decent infrastructure for cyclists: any time!
Just for the info, there was ( and still is) a much better and nicer way to bike from Bruges to Gent , along the old canal. Sadly you went via a very busy , stressy road indeed and ended up on the other side of the same canal when you just entered Gent. Just saying ;)
