In episode two in Croatia, we head to the small old town of Rovinj. We are sorry for our pronunciation of these Croatian cities, we say Rovinj incorrect pretty much every time we say it in this episode! We have to cycle up a huge mountain so that we can avoid the busy coastal roads but heading into this magical town was very much worth heading slightly out of our way for.

I lived in Rijeka a few years back, and was frankly scared of the car traffic. How did you manage to keep your wits enough to even get out? And the tunnels -- eek -- were there alternate routes? OMG, I don't remember a langoşi shop there. It would have made me a lot happier. But the water in Opatija ("oh-pah-tee-uh") has so many colors it is wonderful.

We did notice the traffic once we arrived. But since we got a train from Ogulin into the city, we didn’t notice it too much. It was a little busy leaving the city but we felt like we could avoid the main roads with our bicycles for the majority of the time 😃
