Cycling after illness

Getting back on the bike after a period of being unwell can feel like a real drag. I have had flu / chest infection / fever that has been keeping me away from cycling; and my fitness has taken a real hit.
Finally, I am back on the saddle, and it feels great, doing a short ride today of just over an hour and taking it easy. It will take a while for me to get back to my pre illness fitness, anyway at least it’s a start.
