The film presents the highlights of the cycling trip from Munich to Vienna.
We started our journey in Munich and then cycled along the Isar river until reaching Vilshofen an der Donau. From there, we continued our trip along the Danube river all the way to Vienna.
The Donauradweg, also known as the Danube Cycle Path or Danube Bike Trail, is a popular cycling route that follows the course of the Danube River in Europe. It spans multiple countries and offers scenic landscapes, cultural attractions, and historical sites along the way.
The Donauradweg starts in Donaueschingen, Germany, and continues through Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania before ending at the Black Sea. The entire route is approximately 2,850 kilometers (1,770 miles) long, making it one of the longest and most diverse cycle paths in Europe.
The path is well-maintained and suitable for cyclists of various skill levels, from beginners to experienced riders. It predominantly consists of asphalt or paved surfaces, although there are some sections that may be gravel or dirt paths.
Along the Donauradweg, cyclists will encounter picturesque landscapes, including rolling hills, charming villages, vineyards, and lush river valleys. The route passes through numerous historic cities and towns, such as Passau, Linz, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, and Belgrade. These cities offer opportunities to explore architectural landmarks, museums, local cuisine, and cultural attractions.
