It is Saturday 7:20 A.M but after half an hour of cycling I am at the station of Sint-Niklaas. The cycle highway is used a lot during the week but also in the weekend for trips. You can take your bike on the train or put it in the bike shed. The well-known train connections are Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, Ostend but you can also go to France as an example Lille or Germany Aachen, the Netherlands Maastricht (for a 1 day excursion) and of course also to Paris via Brussels, many possibilities. In our region Zeeuws Vlaanderen Netherlands there is no train station for passengers and it takes far too long to get around by public transport, the border zone Hulst NL with Belgium is of course particularly advantageous.
