You got that right - for me it's to be attempted only with a certain level of fitness in the legs - I've had to drag myself back from Whytecliff on a cold rainy day just enough times to have figured this out.
The ferries from horseshoe bay go to vancouver island Sunshine Coast and Bowen island not the gulf islands you have to go to the Tsawwassen terminal to go to the gulf islands that road to me is not safe for bikes bus drivers might get angry if bikes are making things slow for them
