Excellent interview, thank you Rip and Cyd. BTW, if twizzlers contain white sugar, they are not vegan. White sugar is processed with bone char. "Because refined sugars made from sugarcane require bone char to achieve a clear white colour, most refined cane sugars are unsuitable for vegans."

These stories are sad ,but true. Family may not be supportive of the whole foods plant based meal plan….. But I am glad you can be supportive of yourself .

"Drip feeding" your addiction. Brilliant description! I also love "I don't" eat that anymore vs. "I can't" eat that.

Love Cyd! I am in the process of reading her book. I was so excited when I heard of her and how she gives the example through scripture. I’ve always felt like this topic has not been talked about enough. Makes total sense that our bodies operate the best with a WFPB diet. We have a Creator, who made us to eat that way. Meat came about after the fall. Please have her back.

I love Cyd and her common sense approach. As a Bible reader, I appreciate the principles she identifies and how to apply them. Her book really made a big difference in my commitment to the WFPB lifestyle.

@PlantstrongbyEngine2 Please keep bringing back my pal, Cyd Notter. First off, I knew she would know the joke about Duh Nile! She spreads her word through as much joy as she has knowledge, which is VAST. SOOOOOO helpful to those of us who have been at this for decades to be reminded of the basics, especially when something is banging on our brains, to understand there could be greater forces out there not interested in what is best for us. Though simple, it is profound to simply say, instead of I can't or I won't eat that, I don't eat that is kinder and frankly more authentic and respectful to self. I constantly learn from Cyd. I've taken several of her courses and am thrilled to see her here and look forward to more from Cyd with Rip!🌹💖💪

Hi Rip. What is your tactic to get out of bed every morning? I try to have my workout clothes right next to the bed so I can just roll out 😁.

I’m married to a firefighter ( on the voluntary part so parttime ). He’s very unhealthy and overweight and exactly the type of guy you’re describing there, like he doesn’t want to get told what to eat. It’s very scary and difficult for me bc his health is at risk and he’s not ( able to? )changing anything . I’ve struggled a lot myself with food addiction and working very hard to overcome it ( wfpbno). After hours of discussion there’s little to no junkfood in the house or he eats it when I’m upstairs. He is joking about my food but I keep going. It’s very hard though especially bc I’m worried about him ( and annoyed bc he has too little energy, tired, sitting a lot all those things. It’s quite lonely sometimes for me. I love him( to be clear). Thanks for listening 😅

It's sad that he doesn't get inspired by someone like Rip who actually was a fireman. You'd think he'd want better stamina and energy to fight fires and take care of emergencies.
