I say that a booster box is better if you are trying to get a particular card or for collecting. But if you wanted a bit of fun you could do a mini draft with 2 kits and get another person to play against.

Not entirely too sure as I live in the UK, but I looked at a conversion and it doesn't seem to far off. $145 is £112, I normally get the for just under £100 which converted to USD is $129. But this set does have some lovely full arts and that does make it worth it in my book.
